  1. Phoenix Raquel, I agree with you 100%. I love dressing up, and I am NOT downing anyone, but most people don't even dress (actually they dress the same way as they do through the week) up (not in gowns, etc.) normally in a dress for church. When I leave church and I am out among other people, I get compliments right and left, for the way I look, and to me.......... it is WORTH IT!:)

Yeah a lot of people don’t like to dress up, but I’m definitely among the minority. I use to be a tomboy growing up and I never liked wearing dresses until college. I’m obsessed with them now so I love any excuse to wear them. First I was a little nervous about it because I notice how the majority was dressed down and I didn’t want to look like I was doing too much, but I was like “screw it! I’m on vacation!” Lol. ......... Yes, compliments are nice. [emoji6]

  2. I gained 8 pounds on my last cruise (7 night cruise). The cruise before that I gained 7 pounds (7 night cruise), and the one before that I gained 5 pounds (10 nights). I gain the most on carnival cruises because they have better free food. My next cruise is in November for 12 nights. [emoji51] If gain no more than 5-6 pounds that will be a win, but it’s a carnival ship so the odds aren’t in my favor. Wish me luck! [emoji846][emoji854][emoji846]

  3. Eehhh 🤷*♀️ I would be a little annoyed if I really liked the steakhouse. We went the last 2 cruises and it was good, but not amazing. After the last cruise we decided to not eat at the steakhouse anymore, but we really enjoyed Jijis and Cucina del capitano. [emoji4]

  4. I just got off the Magic.... I tried several items from room service. Theres two room service menus. They had the menu that was posted here and they had a breakfast hanger menu. The hanger menu have to be placed outside you door the night before in order to get your breakfast. Room service breakfast consist of mainly cereal, fruits, breads and etc. (No eggs, bacon, waffles and etc)...

Here's what I tried over our 7 day cruise. Rating is on a scale 1 to 5.

    Wings ... (4) Very Good

    BLT ... 2 (Bad)

    Chicken Tender (3.5) Good

    Banana Split (4) Very Good

    Chocolate Cake (4.5) Great

    Cheese Cake (5) Excellent

    Fries (3) Avg

    Philly Cheese Cake (3.5) Good

I didn't try the grilled cheese but my neice and nephew kept ordering it so it must have been good.

Thanks for the review! I was thinking of trying a few things off the room service menu. I always like to hear the opinions of others. I’m thinking of trying the Philly Cheesesteak, Killer Quesadillas and a few of their desserts.

  5. I wear dresses for every dinner and gowns on both elegant nights. I will even wear a gown if it’s not elegant night (but that’s usually for our usual anniversary dinner at the steakhouse). I don’t get to dress up at home so I tend to do it every night on the ship. Most people don’t dress up for the second elegant night, but I will still wear a gown. One time I was the only one. [emoji51] I didn’t mind though. What can I say I love dresses 🤷[emoji6]

  6. Any items that do repeat will be a bit different. I remember Beef Wellington was served twice. One was sliced from a roast and the second was served in a puff pastry shell.

Prime rib might have been served twice.

The lunch buffet did repeat a bit. As did the carved meats.

If there’s lots of seas days we’ve had three sea days where they served breakfast and lunch instead of brunch.

Oh no! 😯 Brunch is my favorite meal! One of the reasons I was so excited about this cruise. I love the filet mignon, mac & cheese and banana creme pie. I don’t think I ever had lunch in the MDR so I’m not sure about the lunch menu.
