I have yet for them to move my stuff on hangers. Twice was the week my steward was on vacation so someone else had to do it. Last time they told me to pack myself up and they would move mynsuitcase. Not 1 time have they moved my hanging stuff. I've moved me mostly.

Ugh, I don't blame you for caring then. I only did the one B2B and it obviously went very smoothly.

    Ronystours is a perfect option.

We have a tour with him next month and it's the personalization that we are looking forward to. This is actually a re-do from 2019 when we had the same tour planned but couldn't dock in Roatan due to high winds.

Since it's our first time touring the island, we're not interested in sitting on a beach or zipline type stuff. We're going to Manawkie for sloths/monkeys, planning to see some non-touristy stuff (like visiting a school in Rony's hometown to drop off some donations; my wife is a teacher), getting a quick bite of local food wherever our driver recommends (not a long sit down lunch), going to West Bay for shopping and to see the area even though we're not going to actually sit on the beach, etc.

@#1TravelMom Do you have any sites/stops to recommend that aren't in the beach/zipline/snorkeling category?

I must be the only person here who really hates the hassle of packing up and moving cabins.

I'm sure you're not alone, lol. I hang up almost all my clothes (our first request from our stateroom attendant is always for a dozen more hangers) so I don't have a ton to throw in my suitcase. Most of it stays on the hangers and just gets moved as-is.

My wife has more to pack up. Maybe she'd care more but she didn't think it was a big deal the one time we did it.

All that said, we have several B2B's on Utopia booked and I'm definitely happy that none involve moving since they were booked early with group rates.

Agreed! We found ourselves using the balcony less and less, and loved how dark and cool the interior cabin was. We randomly had the virtual balcony on Wonder last month and that felt like a nice in between because I could at least see what it was like outside at any time instantly.

We had a virtual balcony once from a GTY. It didn’t do much for us but I get why people like them. We really don’t care about seeing outside for whatever reason. Also had a Central Park view interior once. We didn’t use the bench or look out the window much but the room felt/is bigger than a standard interior so we liked it.

Decisions decisions. I was shocked my wife and I didn't hate the interior our first time after 20 cruises of balcony or above

That’s somewhat similar to how we wound up in interiors. My wife cruised as a kid & her parents always had a balcony. When we went on our honeymoon cruise (my first ever) we obviously got a balcony b/c my wife said that’s what she needs.

After several more cruises with a balcony we were exactly 4 points from Diamond. I suggested we go on the cheapest 4N cruise from PC (an hour drive for us) in an interior to get to Diamond then we could go back to the balcony she thought she needed. It turned out that she liked the interior & we never looked back.

We’ve had balconies since then on family cruises (a couple with GS’s) and confirmed that we don’t even use them when they’re there for free. We even missed the darkness & how cold interiors can get at times.

Anyway, that’s why I mentioned “if you value the balcony” in my response. It holds virtually no value to us and I wouldn’t get one just because it’s a great deal on paper, even without the switching cabin part, but everyone values things differently.

By the way, are you going to the Crew game on May 25?

No, I'm a pretty big fan (albeit not a happy one at the moment; we're a mess) but I hate going downtown. The atmosphere in our stadium can be amazing but between the cost and the traffic, I'm content watching most matches at home.

No need to thank me btw. I like helping others and talking about Wonder is a great way to kill time until I can get back on her.

I killed time waiting for this cruise.

I can definitely relate to this. I obviously know Wonder very well so there's not a ton I can plan or research as far as the shp but I still follow live blogs (for different ships) and over-plan new excursions to pass the time.

I hope it's everything you hope it is and your planning pays off!

EDIT: I'd also love to hear your thoughts whether it's during the cruise or after. As you know, we'll be passing each other as you disembark and we board on June 2nd.

  8. Enjoy my favorite ship! The suite neighborhood is amazing (although so is the rest of the ship to me). There's a link to my semi-live blog from last June in my signature when generous family treated us to a GS if you're interested. We're not normally suite dwellers.

It will be easier taking pictures on the phone and sending them to the iPad, but I’m not sure if we will be able to have 2 devices on the internet. We are in suite, so having one is included, not sure if being in a suite means each one of us (there are 2) can hook up a device.

You each get free internet for being in Sky Class... so yes, two devices can be logged in at one time.

Is it? If not, it should be. Our last RC cruise was a B2B March 2022. Can't remember. Got a March 2025 B2B booked on the Radiance. I'll pay more attention.

I'd love if it it was, but no, just the standard wording of "X vouchers that reset at 5am each day" leading people to debate if disembarkation day is a "day."

Just triple-checking.  If check-in for our cruise (which leaves out of Barcelona) opens on May 2 - that means midnight on May 2 in Barcelona, right?  So it will actually open at 6pm Eastern time on May 1, since we are 6 hours earlier than Barcelona?

    Correct.
