I have thought that it might be a good idea not to eat off the ship in Barbados and maybe St Thomas because of the hurricane damage. I have felt that the other islands are generally safe but am looking for ways to reassure the wife. We will likely get a hepatitis A vaccine this weekend per CDC recommendations.

DW and I are traveling to Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Thomas in a few weeks. We've read that Barbados may have have issues due to a sewage problem. DW has experienced sickness in the past when traveling in Central America and is scared to eat off the ship. How have you all dealt with this issue when traveling to these areas?

Thank you all for the tips. They are most helpful.

I thought maybe passports might be required. I'd rather not carry them. Obviously the less we have to carry the better..

My wife and I will be cruising in the Eastern Caribbean. Looking for ideas for carrying passports, credit cards phones. etc while ashore, especially when participating in water activities.

Was just there last Friday with the Regal Princess and loved to see all the improvements that have been made. Loved the food trucks too! Great idea.
Did you happen to notice how long the BBQ lunch is available?

Thank you! We were figuring it would be too tight a schedule. Looking at alternatives.

We would like to go to Brimstone Fort by taxi in the morning. Does anyone know if this is doable? We are taking the Scenic railway in the afternoon and the excursions that include Brimstone are too long.

My wife and I will be visiting Barbados for the first time. We booked an excursion through our cruise lines to Harrison Caves in the morning and are considering a coast to coast tour in the afternoon. There is only 30 minutes in between and we are concerned about getting some lunch in there. Is this doable?

Yes, but the initial shot is the main one and the other is just a booster. From what I've read getting the first at least a couple weeks out provides enough protection.
