1. Don't know about Rum Runners, but my mother-in-law got caught with a bottle of vodka (on an NCL cruise out of Long Beach) and we had to go to the "Naughty Room" while the security people searched bag, removed the hooch, and then gave her a claim ticket ;-) It was a busy place. There was a long line.

Ncl is the worse for that!!!
2. Hopefully, you will get additional replies but, as far as I know...if only one person is in the cabin, that person willl have to pay the 2 passenger fee.

Yes, they can get someone else to go with them, that person will pay for his own cruise also. Thus covering the 2 passenger cabin fare.

I'm assuming you mean that the sick passenger will be able to collect his insurance which means he has already made final payment and can collect his fare.

No the other person in the cabin can have the whole cabin to themselves Es as insurance pays for the other person. It happened to me

3. The Melbourne airport is a bit of a distance from Port Canaveral. I'd say with traffic 35-40 minutes. I live around that area, and I think a taxi would surely cost a fortune! Melbourne is not a large city and taxi's are not all that common here. (You can't just hail a taxi here, you have to call them) You might be better to look in to an airport shuttle/transportation service. Maybe the airport information number or better yet, Port Canaveral information/guest services can put in contact with one that specifically transports to the port. That is where I would start. Good luck.

Go to Orlando airport. Shuttle to the ship terminal is $14.95

ote=fann1sh;22283678]Yes, you can bring your own soda aboard. You don't have to claim it's medicinal :). I'm a Pepsi drinker, and usually pick some up in port(s) as HAL only serves Coke products.

You mentioned restrictions on "wine, etc.". Actually, there are no restrictions on bringing aboard wine (including champagne and fortified wines like sherry). You may bring unlimited amounts. You may enjoy the wine in your cabin, or if you take it to the MDR, the wine steward is supposed to charge you corkage of $18 per bottle. I've never been charged, however.

This is not true. U can only bring one bottle of wine pp

(Joanie beat me to the post! Sorry for the duplicate!)

5. Maybe you can call Holland directly and see what they say?

They won't talk to u if u have gone through a travel agent so pretty much u have to take the travel agents word for it. Will never do it again! I will make my own reservations because I know what I should ask! My mistake letting someone else do it!

6.😡It was holland america and they claim it was a promo. I booked thru AAA but the promo really did not give any special perks I'll never do it again. Actually I did not make the reservations I would have never agreed to that. It was my friend who can't wait for anything!!!!
