  1. Sorry. I’m not trying to single you out. I get that everyone has their own circumstances. I was just asking that question in general.

I had just watched the news where a woman spit on another woman and I was wondering where humanity is going.

I may be old fashioned but I miss the days where people cared about each other. Maybe that was all an illusion

Yes, 14 day quarantine if you fly or cruise. I am flying in August But they won’t know that nor know where I am going ...... not playing that game.  None of their business ....

im asking this of anyone who feels no sense of responsibility to protect other people

    1.  If your company finds out and terminated your employment are you going to complain or sue?

    2.  If you start an outbreak in your office will you feel remorse?  What if someone dies as a result of your actions?

I get taking my own risks and I do take risks.  I do try to limit how my actions may affect other people so I’m curious why people seem to not care anymore

  3. We cruised on a full ship last August. Capacity 3000 but only 2400 on board with all cabins full. Crew member said following week there would be 600 more people onboard for holiday cruise as 3rd and  4th passengers.

so is 1/2 capacity only 1/2 of cabins booked or 1/2 of 3000.

will be interesting to see how the numbers play out

  5. Totally agree with his statement.  However he said can’t change travel restrictions now. They are talking about a port reopening in July.

for the record I am a stay at home person. I have family in the medical field. I am coming to the reality that you can’t shut the world down for 2 years waiting for a vaccine.

  6. Let’s see how long people can post positive things about ncl before someone has to post something negative. I’m betting we don’t get to page2

ncl has always gone the extra step for me and my family. First cruise was to Alaska and I was recovering from cancer. My kids wrote to ncl to let them know it was a special trip. Ncl pampered us the entire time and we also had dinner with the captain

  7. We can’t cruise but we can share stories. What’s your favorite port and why

st John. My family spent the day on a deserted beach. Rainbow over the water. Son cracked open coconuts with a rock. Great snorkeling with my daughter . Husband died a few years later. Will always have this memory

ncl. Norway. Was a free cruise after the sky almost tipped over in Alaska the year before. I was a wreck the whole cruise every time the ship shuddered but that day I will always remember

  8. I was told that as long as coast guard confirms ship was in foreign waters they don’t need to dock at a port to fulfill Jones act. Whether this is true or not I’m not sure.

if that’s the case ncl could do jewel and joy which are both hanging out on the west coast. Seattle to anchorage. I’d love to see them sail 1/2 full. US or Canadian citizens only as a way to test out new protocols. I’d feel safe with that itinerary.

my opinion is this virus is with us for years. As people start heading back to work cases are going to rise. The travel industry is huge and is going to have to start opening up and the risk is going to be there.

  9. We are booked end of August and I’m hoping they go.  I will settle for fewer excursion choices considering that there will be less ships and less people. My first Alaska cruise was on an ncl ship that held 455 people. It was great.

these ports aren’t optimal when multiple ships come in and 15000 people descend on a small town.

I will also accept assigned dining, no buffet and extra precautions to be able to sail on a ship with less people.

I know right now the glass is half empty for cruisers but it’s also half full. We just don’t know what the half full looks like yet
