  1. If you are traveling from the west on I-10 get an early start because traffic will get backed up for about 1.5 miles before you exit to the cruise terminal,or you can come in from Government st. to South Broad st. to Canal st. which would be the coming into town from the Northwest side of Mobile. You will pass under the I-10 overpass at the Mobile civic center. Once you clear the overpass you will see the cruise ship's unmistakable whale tail stack. You will encounter traffic coming off the interstate to your right, there should be a Policeman or two directing traffic at the intersection.

  2. Mega and Chedurai will have the larger selections, both on the main road from the ports heading into town a block apart, as will Covi Liquors on Avenida 30.

La Europa carries some specialized brands including the small batch villages mescals, like del Maguey, or some pechugas It's across the street from Mega, near the old Margaritaville, as I recall.

La Hacienda Antiqua or the Tequila Factory carry only a single distiller's Cava Antiqua, which despite the "factory" name is located in Guadalajara.

Most of the brands you'll see will be familiar to you. But look for Siete Leguas or Maestro Tequilero for something different. I'm sure others here have favs.

I have a friend that purchased Comotellico but can't remember what shop he got it from. Are you familiar with that brand? Thank you

    for the info.

  3. Mark at Maya Chan beach will stay open until 7:30 per our correspondence. Mark informed me that upon arrival there will be a short wait for a shaded area, but drinks, food, and the beach area will be available while waiting for the other guest to leave.
