  1. Finished 1st cruise to W. Caribbean on Getaway this past June. Loved it so much we just booked a 2020 trip to East Med. on Getaway for 11 nights from Rome. We’ve never been to Europe and need suggestions. There are 8 passengers total.

*Is 3 days before cruise enough time to enjoy Rome?

*Any MUST DO’s in Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, etc?

*Would it be advisable to fly home the day of disembarkation?

*Best connection airports in Europe-coming from west coast.

    *Best transportation options in Rome?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Yes, but beware all decks above you can see right into your balcony. Almost the entire balcony is visible from above. Deck 9 sticks out further than deck 10 and above. Deck 8 sticks out further than deck 9.We were on deck 9 forward last week and had a creepy guy on deck 10 make rude comments on day 1! Really annoying. Luckily the weather was crappy almost the entire week so we never "lounged" on our balcony.

  3. Do they have mini van type taxis available? Are there local shuttle companies that are reliable and just waiting for passengers? We are 2 groups of 4 adults each and would like to go back to Miami International at the same time if not all together. We dont like pre paid and pre scheduled shuttles because we dont want to be rushed. We'll leave that to the cruiseline at disembarkation. As an Uber/Lyft p/t driver myself, I dont like that option either because we have too much luggage and are never sure of the vehicle type coming until booking and mostly the cost factor itself. We tried that in New Orleans and the driver had her groceries in the back...:confused:but thats another story.

Anyone have any positive suggestions or recommendations from recent experiences? We leave in 13 days.

  4. Ive never met the person so I am being given info 2nd hand. US passport renewal is in he works. The Cruiseline weeks ago said everything was ok, then today it’s an issue. Now we’re in panic mode as this person may be left behind. We sail in 3 weeks. I’m having to send him to Los Angeles passport office to see what he can do and why French passport was issued in time, but not the US. If I can verify he has a certified birth certificate for the WHTI cruise, then the issue is moot. Just have to make sure he doesn’t get hurt or miss the ship.

  5. We have an adult passenger on our itinerary that has a French passport that was issued this year in Los Angeles. He has a valid California drivers license. I am told he holds dual citizenship. Can he travel from Miami to Caribbean and back to Miami with this? NCL rep had no idea and sent me to CBP for answers. They were closed. We’re all checked in online with no issues. Since this is our first cruise, we have little knowledge. Any help?
