I will be doing the ashes at sea for my husband in the near future. I have contacted Celebrity and provided all the required documentation and have gotten approval.
I have a question for anyone who has been involved in this procedure, how do people typically dress for it. It just seems to me shorts and flip flops would be disrespectful. My adult children and my husband's siblings will be attending.

I was interested until I read about the unvaccinated kids being allowed on board. I'm going to pass on this.

I have had both shots, DH has had his first shot. So yes for us. I'm hoping vaccines are mandatory.

Having my morning tea and a croissant on the balcony. I enjoyed my breakfast while watching the ocean go by.

It tastes like instant ice tea or tea that has been sitting around for a long time. I tried it twice and no more after that.
If your daughter likes tea I would suggest making a strong cup of hot tea (maybe use 2 or 3 tea bags) let it cool then pour it over ice.
To be fair I tend to be picky about my tea.

Island would need to have an outstanding itinerary before we would consider it again. The theatre is too small with the added cabins and the wait for YTD was reflective of the additional passengers. We really enjoyed the Royal.

We had a concierge balcony on Summit in April, there were no footstools on our balcony.

Windstar with 148 passengers in Tahiti and the Society Islands. It was a beautiful ship and cruise.

What kind of lactose free desserts did they have? We just booked with Celebrity.
They had a rice pudding that was delicious, something similar to a chocolate mousse, sorbet, and brownies. I know there was more just having trouble remembering the specifics. One thing is certain I had dessert every night!

I have good experiences with Princess and Celebrity. Each night in the dining room I would receive a menu for the following evening. My order was taken and adjustments were made to accommodate my dietary restrictions.
In my opinion Celebrity had a better selection of lactose free deserts.
My experience with NCL was not good, the server seemed to be annoyed.

Best balcony we have had!

I recently returned from a Celebrity cruise and also have dietary restrictions. I am lactose intolerant. There was a "special" desert every night not on the menu. During the week long cruise I had a vegan rice pudding, different flavors of sorbet and frozen yogurt, and brownies. I hope this helps.

Recently returned from a 15 night Panama Canal Cruise on Princess. We disembarked Dec 20th. There were maybe 10 kids onboard. We try to time our cruises for minimal kids.
It was a great cruise

We keep our medications in original containers, except for the OTC things like fish oil or vitamins.
We also each have a word document we keep updated on our computers so we can easily print it out and take it with us. It contains a list of all medications, and surgeries.
We had an incident a few years ago when I keep passing out when I stood up, DH called for help and when the paramedics arrived they asked about my medications. He did not know what I was taking, fortunately I was tell them after some IV fluids. We each keep a copy of our list on our frig so it is handy in an emergency.

Belgian chocolates from St. Thomas or vanilla from Cozumel.
I used to buy cute little t-shirts with animals or fish on them for my grandson, he is now 21 so I no longer do that.

We were able to take advantage of one of the exciting deals about 18 months ago. The cruise was scheduled for 5 days after my retirement date and DH was already retired. We got a 4 night Silhouette cruise in a balcony guarantee for less than $300 each. Since we live in Florida we drove to the port.
The timing and price was too good to pass up. Still checking the email each week hoping for another good deal.

I have food allergies and the staff on Royal Princess (2 different cruises) was wonderful. They would give me the next night's menu so I could order and my meal was prepared without any allergens.
It was a pleasure for me to go to dinner and not worry. DH and I were using ATD and it worked well.

Thank you

We will be leaving the Royal Princess in Citivecchia after our Med cruise. Does anyone know what the latest time was. We are in no hurry to get off and are happy to be in the last group off the ship.
Thanks in advance.

Retired in January, did a quick cruise on the Silhouette and spent most of April in Hawaii. Heading out on a Mediterrean cruise in September.

Does anyone know if the Hilton Garden Inn will store your luggage post cruise if you are checking in later that day?
We would like to drop off our luggage then, take the train into Rome for some sightseeing.
Thank you

I would think having "mobility issues" would mean needing assistive devices (e.g. walker, cane, wheelchair).
DH and I are in our early 60s without mobility problems but certainly would be slower climbing steep inclines.
I might ask for clarification if you feel strongly about going on this tour.
We do not use any assistive devices. I did let then know that due to medication DH needs a minute after standing before he can move forward. Since I am short ( 4' 10"), I requested a step stool if they would be using a large van. We are a little slower walking.
They did offer to do a private tour instead of the group tour but we did not feel the need to spend that much money. We are currently looking at other options that may suit us better.
As far as someone being verbally obnoxious, that would have pushed me over the edge. I may be short and older but I can be very assertive.
My original post was meant as a caution.

Really?...what is considered fully fit? I mean I walk here at home but I am not an athlete......I am going on the
all day tour....I can't imagine it will be walking for 8 hours straight.
Lois, I an copying more of the email from Barcelona Day tours:
I would just like to inform you about something as I remember that you have mentioned that you are in your older years and may not be able to walk as fast as the others and this is regarding the semi-private Barcelona city tour that you have booked with us. In general, we tell all our guests that the itinerary and level of difficulty of our group tours is not suitable for people with any mobility issues. For people with walking difficulty or those who may not be able to keep up with the other guests in a shared tour, at this point, because of some situation that happened in the past and just recently, we recommend that they book a private tour, and I would recommend you think about that as well.
Having said that, as you mention that you think you would still be able to do the tour then I will let you decide about that directly. I would like to let you know however that we have had some incidents previously when people turned quite vicious on participants that were perceived to slow them down, and then contacted us and requested refunds because they felt the tour was not good because of that. Although we feel this is completely unfair to those people who need just a slightly slower pace this is still the reality unfortunately. Some guests with mobility difficulty have been verbally attacked by others and in some cases they just contacted us afterwards to complain. People can be very insensitive and rude and since we cannot determine the true mobility level of someone over email I want to make sure you take this into consideration. The owner of the company has mobility issues himself so we are very sensitive to this subject but we do make it a point to tell everyone that our group tours are only suitable for fully fit participants. The responsibility for any issues that may arise due to mobility issues of some of the participants in the group is therefore their own, and although we are happy to keep guests that say they can keep up with everyone, this will be your responsibility and we will not accept any complaints afterwards if you had to wait out some parts alone.
I hope this helps

Thank you for doing this. I will be on this cruise in June and really looking forward to it.
