21st of July '19 on Explorer of the Seas

My partner has a severe tree and ground nut allergy and generally we have found RCCL to be ok. The first evening we have found to be the most difficult and as such book a speciality restaurant as a little less hectic. On our first cruise a couple of years back we we're served the desserts with nuts covering the dish and told to pick them out. This is with us constantly telling the hosts and servers. Also we find the windjammer very difficult due to cross contamination from other guests.

The deluxe drinks package is the cheapest I have seen it sailing out of the uk coming in at £41.04 per day

Me and my partner have sailed on several RCCL cruises and have mixed responses with her having a severe peanut and tree nut allergy. On all trips we give advance notice and on the first day go speak with dining manger to introduce ourselves. On Explorer my partner was given a dessert with nuts in it and was told to just pick them out. On Indi I had a massive argument wit the sous chef in the wind jammer as he refused to provide us with a portion of food that was being hot held beneath the counter that would be free from cross contamination, then later on in the same cruise was provided a pasta dish for her with pine nuts through the dish. However last year on Navigator staff couldn't be more helpful.

Hi we're sailing on explorer of the seas and was wondering what others have experienced with severe allergies. My partner has a nut allergy which results in anaphylaxis, and on a previous cruise, have been given meals with nuts in the food and have been told to pick them out even though we have informed both the waiter and the maitre D. We especially find it difficult in the WJ where cross contamination can occur between dishes. Anyone have any hints or tips??

Hi
Does anyone have any Cruise Compasses from a previous Italian Mediterranean cruise that you could post on here....am interested in seeing what normally is on board during cruise. :)
Hi there am sailing on Navigator tomorrow morning for 2 weeks and can post the cruise compass if that helps

Enjoying your live from.
With regards the drinks package and the $14 limit - does anyone know whether you just pay the additional $3 if you have a drink which costs $17 or do you have to pay the full $17?
Just have to pay the excess $3 and no gratuity on top of this as its incorporated into the cost of the drink I think, if sailing out of the UK.

Hi there we cruise on Navigator on the 8th of July and was wondering if anyone knew if they would be showing Wimbledon like onboard. Cheers
-
Yep, to confirm, drinks up to $14 are included in the deluxe drinks package
And here are a few pages from the bar menu that's in a few Venus around the ship
So most should be included but there are a few that are $15-17.

Thank you so much for all the photos. Greatly appreciated

As others have mentioned the limit is increased to $14 as cruises out of U.K. include 18% gratuity on the displayed prices where cruises in Caribbean and elsewhere are $12 then have to add 18% gratuity which makes up to $14.
Thanks so much for your help

On cruises from the U.K. the maximum drink price is increased too, to $14 I believe.

Thanks so much for your cruise updates. We're sailing on the 8th July for the Mediterranean cruise on Navigator. We have the drinks package, however looking at your photos, all of the cocktails are now magically over the $12 price limit. Do you know if any of the cocktails are $12 or under. Enjoy your cruise
