We sail tomorrow!! So excited!!!

We are sailing on the Norwegian Gem from NYC to the Bahamas.

So the family gathered their essentials & we pack tonight. I've read all the threads & have many notes for things to bring, remember & consider.

What is your last minute advice for essential things to know & pack?

Hi afeiner31.....If your asking if at any point did they stop and check my cooler or ask me what I was bringing in......then the answer is no, I was never stopped by anyone or asked what I had in there. I did not take in any glass items. I did have canned drinks, bottled water, sandwiches & snacks like that.

 

Also....I would like to add that the type of cooler I took in was a large plastic cooler with a long strap (the kind you can carry), just in case anyone is wondering.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I wondered if you had the cab stop somewhere along the way for food & drinks. Will there be places to buy near?

You said coolers are permitted in Atlantis & you brought food & drinks. Did you have your can stop somewhere along the way?

Our family has the unlimited beverage plan. Are the key cards also used as credit cards/ID cards at the bars? In other words, will the key cards indicate that my kids are minors when we change rooms? My 19 year old daughter could easily be mistaken for 21.

Also, the reason that we all have the beverage plan is because my husband & I want this & we were told that all passengers in the same room have to have the same benefit. Is this true?

I received 1 invitation to bid but booked 2 cabins. Since my children will be in the second cabin it's important to me that we are together. Is there a way to bid on both cabins & keep them together?

Of the 5 free benefits offered which is considered the best value? My husband & I will drink 6-7 alcoholic beverages a day. We are traveling with 2 teenagers.

Is water free on Norwegian cruises? I've seen conflicting information on this. We have the UBP.
