We'll be onboard with you.....and also enjoyed WC18. What kind of "tips" are you looking for?
Hi! Nice to meet you!
Regarding "tips", maybe something that you wish you knew before you did your first world cruise but no one told you.
We are a couple in our late 60s who love to travel and look forward to meeting you.

It seems that a number of the cruise lines are doing variations of the “ring of fire” itinerary for their 2025 world cruises. Some add portions of South America and some add in parts of Africa. Although this was the first itinerary of our ill-fated 2022 Regent world cruise, we much prefer an equatorial circumnavigation of the globe for a first world cruise. That is why we have booked Regent’s 2024 Miami to Miami.
Hi Ladys Mom,
My husband and I are also booked on the Regent 2024 world cruise. Nice to meet you. Have you cruised with Regent before?

You're wonderful, Charles!

Thanks Don. I'm a beginner on CC. Where is the world cruise board?
-
Thank you, Charles. What would you suggest instead?

We are going on the Regent Mariner world cruise in 2024. It starts in January and lasts 132 days. Any tips from previous world cruisers would be appreciated!

Thank you all for your comments. What I failed to mention is that we will be on a world cruise, stopping at 89 different locations, some very remote. Because of this, we can't be sure that our cellphones will work so we're looking for an alternative. We really like the idea of walkie talkies or something similar. Would love your suggestions.

We don't want to bring our cell phones out on excursions because they might be stolen. We're looking for a different solution.

What is the best way to find your partner if you get separated on an excursion? For example, we're in a crowded marketplace in India and we get separated and can't find each other. Should we have walkie talkies or is something else better? Please help!

Hi Cruisers,
I booked a world cruise through a travel agent. I now have to pay off the large balance and am wondering if there is a great credit card to use that would give me lots of points. I won't be booking it through the credit card's travel agency, just paying off the balance. Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks.

Hi Rick and Pat,
Have you heard anything about coral bleaching in the Solomon Islands? It's affected many other parts of the world. We're concerned that the coral won't be colorful and the fish won't be plentiful.

Hi Rick and Pat,
We are on your same cruise with Silversea leaving October 25, 2017. I'm glad to know that there are some adventurous people on this expedition. We are on it purely for the snorkeling and it looked like there was a lot of it when we first read the itinerary. When I look at it now, I'm not so sure. Also, since they just changed the itinerary and left out Port Resolution, I'm not sure that we will be hiking up to the volcano on Mt. Masur which was high on our list. We have paid in full and will definitely go but hope that it really is a trip for active adventurers. Looking forward to meeting you, Nancy and Steve

Good to know.
We are a retired couple in our late 60s living in Arizona and Colorado. We have selected all of our excursions, as I'm sure you have also, but want to hire a private guide for our one day in Rome. We want to do "skip the lines" at the Vatican and Colosseum and also see the Pantheon, etc. Do you have a favorite way to hire a private guide?
You can communicate with me via my email if that's easier. It's STEVELNANCYL@CS.COM
