  1. Cruising to Nassau this fall and will have my 3 year old with me.  Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for toddler friendly excursions.  I think Atlantis would be great, but my main concern is transportation... Looking for ideas from someone who has already experienced the port with a toddler.  Thanks in advance!

  2. My husband and I will finish our cruise in Miami on 6/29 and we don’t fly out of Orlando until 7/1. We’ll have a rental car and would like to spend the weekend somewhere we’ve never been. (We often have visited Miami, st Augustine, ft lauderdale, Orlando)

Any suggestions on destinations convenient to both Miami and Orlando? (Within 2-4 hour drive) We love biking, tennis, beach and adventure. Our favorite beach close to home is Hilton Head island. Open to any ideas!

    Thanks!!

  3. The#10 jitney (bus) runs every few minutes from George st downtown along the tourist corridor from 6am - 6pm. The cast is $1.25 pp one way. Many stops along the way or just ask to get off. Pay as you leave. No change given. So have exact amount.

George street is located off bay street across from the main entrance to the straw market just ask any local

    .

    Good info. Thank you!!

  4. Took the bus. $3 per person, round-trip.

    Wow! That’s so cheap!!

It’s been years since I’ve been to Nassau and we didn’t get off the ship last time...

Is it pretty easy to find the buses once you get off the ship? Do many cruisers use the buses or mostly locals? How do you determine which stop to get off?

    Can you tell I’m a planner? 😀

  5. I went last October. Coming from someone who is very frugal, I thought it was worth every penny. The property is gorgeous. The beach is gorgeous. You get free food and drink. Free access to the private island. For me to stay at a Sandal's resort for a week or so is too expensive. This is a great way to experience it.

We are planning to visit in June. Did you just take a taxi? If so, do you recall the cost?

  6. We ended up going to Nachi and it was AMAZING. I was totally burnt out on Cozumel and then we visited here and I'm dying to go back!

Beach was beautiful, service was great, drinks were good enough for me (I'm not picky) and food was delicious. Only complaint was that hot tub was not heating the day we were there - but who cares?! All else was fabulous!

  7. Nachi Cocom is very quiet and uncrowded; AI for about $55 each and your husband could sign up for their snorkel tour to the reefs. No water toys, etc.

Otherwise I agree with the above - check out Sanchos (AI) and Paradise Beach (pay as you go - $3 admission)

Thanks! I had read quite a bit about Nachi Cocom and it looks perfect for me! Just need something to keep hubby busy-snorkeling is a good idea. Do you know if they have kayaks or paddle boards there? I may email them and check...

  8. My husband and I will be in Cozumel this month on the Allure of the Seas. Since we will be kid-less for this trip, we'd love to spend the day at an all inclusive.

My husband likes to go, go, go - tennis, snorkel, paddle board, kayak

and I like to lie on the beach, read and sip margaritas all day.

Anything you would recommend that has the best of both worlds?

We like a quieter spot and aren't really into joining the "party" crowd at resorts.

Maya Chan in Costa Maya was right up our alley (best excursion we've done to date).
