  1. We just got off MoomDance yesterday. BEST DAY EVER! From the time we left port until we returned we were pampered, well lubricated, & extremely well fed. There were a few unexpected surprises too.  Easy in/out of water. Plenty of room, they'll only take 12. We were very impressed. Beautiful boat.

  2. Another thread inspired me to ask. Scenario: Dining Room, tablemates that were assigned to sit with you. One (or more) of these people decides to be rude, demanding and demeaning to the waitstaff. How would you as a kind, human being react and what would you say to the get the arrogant guest to shut up, leave or be respectful? Would you also say something encouraging to your waitstaff?

  3. I've seen the crew check the seapass for actual info on the age. Also, please be cautious, I have seen 'whiplash' type injuries and bumps and bruises especially on littler riders due to collisions; their bodies may not be strong enough to take a hard T-bone hit. YES, I've seen some hard hits first hand. It's fun if you're prepared and you're an adult who knows what to expect.

  4. For the bungalows you can pick up a smaller <golf cart> size that carries 4 ppl across from the tram stop. Bring your proof of bungalow 'ownership'. It will take you right to the bungalows and they will also bring you back at the end of your visit. The bungalow attendants will call it for you for your return trip Please bring tip $$. If the Columbus Cove bbq isn't open, they will also transport you to the other bbq area.

  5. LOL I had a major issue last cruise (14 night) with peanut butter. I like in on my banana in the morning. First few days... no problem. Then I couldn't get it. We were in the dining room for breakfast. I asked for pb and was told 'we don't have any'. I asked 'Do you not have any HERE in the dining room or on the ship?' The answer was 'no pb on ship'. I went to WJ and found pb in jars that they dispensed onto my plate. Next day I stopped at WJ and got pb and took it up to DR. This happened 2 days in a row. Then the WJ server told me they were on their last jar of pb and there wasn't any more on the ship. So at a port of call I walked to the local grocery store and bought a small jar. I brought it everyday to breakfast and our tablemates for that day always asked about the jar. Before taking it out of my sling bag, I always asked if anyone at the table had an allergy to it. Never had a problem having my pb every morning after that; except for when the bananas were really awful.

  6. We stopped here on Saturday (RCI). I imagine it will be the same no matter what line. We boarded the first free bus that takes you to the end of the pier (several miles). We were informed that it would take us to the Auto Progresso Bus Terminal; which is where we were meeting our private guide. The bus, instead, went to a small lot where there were many vendors. The driver wouldn't open the bus doors until they gave us a spiel on the tours that the company was selling ('right outside the bus door'). Our group, at the back of the bus, finally got up and walked to the front saying we were leaving. The 'sellers' weren't happy but opened the door and then everyone else also followed us off the bus. It took an extra 40 minutes to hook-up with our guide that was several blocks away. FYI as of Saturday you could get a taxi for 4 for $10 and it actually took you to the bus terminal.

  7. Also please consider seeing the 9/11 Memorial that is <usually> on the starboard side near the ship's bow when docked in Bayonne. It is a beautiful, poignant and very large monument given to us by the Russians. The base has all the victims names around it. It (to us) shows the towers split down the middle with a giant tear drop between them. Very moving.

  8. Are you also aware that you can get private transport to the bungalows? Look for the smaller 'golfcart' size vehicles; near the 'Information Center & Meeting Point" (across for the Dragon's Tram Station). Have your receipt for a bungalow with you to show the driver. They will take you there (avoiding the shopping gauntlet) and back. Or if the bbq area by bungalows isn't open, you can use them to get a ride to the bbq that's open. Please remember to bring tip $ for the driver and your 'bungalow boys'; they do a good job watching your private area and getting your drinks.

  9. How would we know which shuttle is the correct one? There will only be 4 of us so I would imagine the bungalow would be pretty expensive. How could I find out information about renting a bungalow? Thanks.

Only 1 person books the bungalow (not 4) The price is for the bungalow (I think up to 8 ppl). It's about $250. They supply towels, float mats, water, 'cabana boy' to get drinks and watch your stuff, private lounging area in front of your bungalow. Pretty sweet actually. And you're close to the BBQ lunch area. If the BBQ area isn't open you can get a private cart to take you over and back to the closest BBQ. Bring tip money for attendant and driver.

  10. Another vote for Columbus Cove. Not sure which ship but Anthem did not use water shuttle. There are 2 different 'sand' shuttles. One goes to CC bypassing the aggressive vendors. Just make sure you get the correct one. Or, better yet, if you have a group, rent a bungalow at CC; much less expensive than cabanas and you can get a private 'golf cart' style transport (just bring your receipt to prove you've got a bungalow).
