The cruise was very different than those we've done in the past because we didn't socialize with other passengers.  But it was still very enjoyable.

DH and I are fully vaccinated and boosted.  We wore KN-95 masks in all public indoor places, except the main dining room where we sat at a table for 2 in a location away from other tables.  Other meals we ate at the sunset bar (outside seating) or room service on our deck.

No, I did not hear of anyone coming down with COVID, but I don't think I would have even if there were.

    Enjoy your cruise.

Thank you for all that.  Hopefully you'll cruise again soon!

I've been on five cruises since the restart. I am vaxxed and now double boosted.  I jumped through whatever testing hoops there were (finding my own or testing at the port) and wore a mask whenever required, but ditched it when it wasn't.  I didn't wear a mask on the planes or in terminals after that mandate was dropped.  When required I only wore a single layer face diaper mask, which met the requirements.  I trust the vaccines and therapeutics.

It was nice to be back at sea.

I am excited to cruise again and hope to avoid Covid, as you have!  I might be the one person on the ship wearing a mask when it's not required.  I'm accustomed to wearing a mask at work, anyway.

Last week, I took my first cruise since 2019.  We were required to show proof of being vaccinated and boosted.  No masks were required, but the crew was always masked when dealing with passengers. We were also required to present proof of a negative COVID test for boarding the ship at the embarkation port, but not for entering any of the other ports.

I hope you enjoyed your cruise!

What steps did you take on the ship to avoid getting Covid?  Did you hear of anyone on the ship coming down with Covid?

I'm planning a cruise for next month.

Mine is similar but very different!!!   The main reason that I do it is to make sure that people are on their feet Meeting and GREETING/MINGLING.

I also arrange a lunch after the M&G where chatter can continue especially discussion about Private Shorex that should not happen in the M&G.

How much is this tour?  Thanks.

It is $125 per adult and $50 for children age 3-11. It's an all day tour.  The guide picks up at the port when the ship docks.  We get dropped off at the ship one hour before the ship leaves port.

I have been comparing tours and I think this tour is worth the money because it is an all day tour,  for only 6 people max and can be adjusted to the group's preferences.   And the tour company and guide are highly recommended on Cruise Critic.

  6. I (female) will be traveling solo on the Sun.  I am looking for others to join me on a private tour that I booked on Grand Bahama Island (on Wednesday, August 21).  The tour has been recommended on Cruise Critic.  It is called the East End Experience and is private, for up to 6 people. Some places visited are: Lucayan National Park,  Freetown Farm, High Rock and other areas, depending upon interest.  So far, it's just me that is signed up.  For more info and to sign up, go to www.experiencegrandbahamaisland.com

The guide picks up and drops off at the ship.  Payment is made to the guide that day.  It will be a fun day!

  7. I will be in Feeport on August 21, traveling on the Norwegian Sun.  I am looking for fellow shipmates to join me on a private tour I booked that has good reviews on Cruise Critic.  The tour is called The East End Experience.  The tour company's website is ExperienceGrandBahamaIsland.com. The tour goes to Lucayan National Park, High Rock, Freetown Farm and other areas.  The guide picks up at the ship when it docks.  This tour is for 6 people, max.  To sign up and for more info, go to the website.  So far it's just me. I'm traveling solo (my husband is not interested in cruising.

The Roll Call for your cruise is right where it should be, in the forum for NCL Sun Roll Calls (and has been there for more than a month; you posted in it just yesterday)..  For some reason, it’s not showing up in the Roll Call Finder tool.  You’ll need to email the Help desk and let them know.

    Thank you.  I emailed help@cruisecritic.com.
