  1. My parents and I are looking at going on the Quebec City - Whales and Fall Colour Cruise on September 12th to 27th.  We are looking at booking a room for 4 people but told by are Travel Agent that HAL can bump us to a 3 person cabin.  Wanting others thoughts on decks 4, 5, 6, and 10.  What cabins would you avoid if choosing a 3 person cabin.  We would really like a 4 but don’t want to be bumped to a 3 with no say where we are on the ship along with what side.  We prefer Starboard. Thank you in advance ☺️

  2. We got off her just over a week ago.

Did not notice anything old or outdated on her, she still looked fresh, clean and tidy.

We had an Aqua cabin and it was not showing any major signs of wear and tear, staff were great too and they opened a new Tiffany store on board on our second to last day! Right by the World Class bar.

I may have made a small purchase ;)

We disembarked on Monday and I made a small purchase at Tiffany's too 😊

  3. Hi guys!

Hoping someone can help me out with this question! I've done quite a few searches and haven't quite figured it out.

My husband and I will be on the Solstice in a couple weeks going from Vancouver to Hawaii. I am wondering how self disembarkation works- my husband and I love the idea of not having to have our bags out the night before. Actually, I love the idea! Too hard for me to try and pack my clothes and toiletries and not forget anything I need! What can I say.. I need options in the morning! :) We do not have an early flight so we don't want/need to be the first to leave, so I am just wondering is it possible to self disembark at a normal hour (not the first to leave)? I completely understand we have to haul our bags ourselves, that's no problem at all! I am mainly asking how the process works? I have found a lot of information on self disembarking if you have a very early flight, but what if just want to leave the ship at 8 or 9, but carry our own belongings off?

Hopefully that question makes sense! Any feedback would be great. Thank you!

    Hi Bekbek4248

We aren't sure of the answer to your question but will be on the same cruise. Did you sign up for roll call?

    Aloha 😊

  6. Should we hire Local cabs/tour companies?

We love hiking so we thought Hawaii would be perfect for this.

If you go out on your own and not through the ship for excursions, make sure you come back on time cause the ship has a schedule to keep and you might be left behind. If you book an excursion on the ship they will wait for you.:)

  7. Pearl Harbour, The Grand Circle Island Tour - Oahu

Volcano National Park, Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Farm - Hilo

Make sure to go to a Luau, lots of fun

We've been told the Road to Hana is supposed to be nice in Maui and if you like coffee go to Kona while in Kailua. Never been to these places though.

  8. Hi guys.

Just tried to join on line and couldn't do it. It wouldn't go through.

I think I will join when I first board, is that the way to go?????

We have cruised twice with Royal, so how does this work??????

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Regards Bob.

    Hi Bob,

Phone the Captains Club directly, number is 1-800-760-0654. Open 8am to 2000 Eastern standard time. This was the number given when we called the website technical assistance since we had troubles too. Hope it helps😊

  9. Doing a 12 nighter on the Solstice to New Zealand in January next year being our 1st time with Celebrity. I have just read about the Captains Club. Is it wise to join it before our cruise and for what advantage.

    Regards Bob.

    Hi Bob,

We are also cruising on Solstice for the 1st time next month and have just recently joined the Captains Club. It was very easy to do and the person I spoke too said that 10 days after our cruise the points will show up.:)
