We will be there in late June. Does anyone have a recommendation about what time to do the tour as to avoid fog? I have read that the view from the mountain top can be obscured by fog sometimes. Is that just an morning issue or time of year?
Thanks,

I'm actually staying in 1804 on my May 11th sailing. Will post pictures when I return :-).
That is great!! I hope you have a good time and am looking forward to any info and pictures you can share. We are on the June 29th Cruise.
Thanks,
Scott

I would love any info about Cabin 1804. We are staying in that one at the end of June. It is one of the Ocean View Panoramic Suites.

Has anyone stayed in or seen any photos of Cabin 1804 or 1854 on Adventure? I have seen photos of rooms on the same floor that have been finished, but not those two. We are in 1804 this summer and would love any info.
Thanks,
Scott

I posted this in another thread, but figured it would better to start my own. I am looking into travel insurance right now. My final payment is March 31st. I can re-price my families cruise at today's sale and save enough to purchase the RC insurance ($404) and end up at the same price. I would have to switch from refundable to non-refundable, but I am less than a month away from final payment anyway.
Do any of you have any recommendation about the RC Insurance? Is there any other 3rd party provider that would give me the money back as opposed to a future cruise credit? Do you think I should reprice and purchase the RC insurance?
Any help is appreciated.

Today's price in Cruise Planner is $45 per day for our Adventure of the Seas June cruise. It is the lowest I have seen. Has anybody seen it cheaper than that $45? Thanks,

I am on AOS, that was my problem! The website showed free grats, the fine print doesn’t. That’s why I needed the screenshots, the agent was confused too. My grats are $492 CAD it was worth the effort for me!
So you are on Adventure and the website says "Suites, Free Gratuities" You took a screen shot of that and sent it to them, they initially said no, but honored it anyway? If so, sign me up?

I just took screenshots of the actual promotion, the category showing free grats and $350 OBC and finally the price of my room. The agent had me email him while on the phone and he passed it along to the resolution dept.
I think the price of the room is important because RC’s creative accounting can change in a moment. ;)
I thought you were referring to Adventure of the Seas. But you were referring to Anthem right? I can see where the add talks about Anthem but not Adventure. Maybe next time.

After waiting on hold last night for 45 mins while my agent talked to a “different department,” and sending an email containing screenshots of their website, RC honoured free grats for my AOS sailing. Last night was reprice #6, unless a KSF comes along (unlikely since its spring break) I doubt I’ll do better.
The agent insisted free grats was only available for Oasis class and the OBC of 350 was only offered to suites. I’m in one of the new panoramic ocean view rooms which changes room category to a suite level starting May 2018. That took some explaining but in the end they said I was correct and I’ll receive a credit for the gratuities plus I got $350 OBC. I’m happy!
I am in the same room category on the June 29, 2018 sailing. Any advice on how to get that honored on my sailing? What screenshots did you use? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Scott

I've seen complaints here on the Mexico port of call boards that the ruins are "man made."
We know they are manmade, but the question is how long ago. My wife and I went to Cozumel on a Cruise 10 years ago. We visited the "ruins" and they were literally building them while we were there. Men were taking rocks in wheel barrows and stacking them. HA

I booked directly with RCI and my mother is staying in balcony deck 12 forward and it is regular room not suite. OnAdventure, there are only two of these rooms over the front of the ship. RCI sold it to me as a suite, it has suite in the same, and I'm getting two points a night. I can't imagine it would still be state room sleeping six with a living room and seperate bunk bed room/area. It also has two bathrooms. One half bath and one full. When I purchased, I specifically asked about suite level. I understand that these room were family rooms in the past but not suites. I don't think Adventure has them yet and they are completing after drydoc in Jan. Are you booked in one of these two rooms? If so, I'll call RCI and check before I pay off my booking. I wouldn't want a suite that wasn't a suite :)
I did the same. After the dry dock, 1804 and 1854 on Adventure are named and sold as "suites" by RC. Now they might be "suites" in name alone like Jr. Suites and not get the perks, but I don't know that as of yet. They are providing complimentary Champagne and cupcakes upon arrival, but I have no idea what regular staterooms get.
Also, I was told that the minimum was 5 people. (Just what they told me). So if you price it with 5 or 6, it will definitely be more expensive than a JR. Suite that cannot hold that many. I will be interested to see what perks anyone gets from these "suites" on the Adventure after the 2018 dry dock.

I've got a couple of Adventure cruises booked in 2019. When I check suite pricing, the VP has been less than the J4 since I've been looking. Not a huge amount less, maybe $100 - $150pp.
Probably so. I have 4 kids that would not fit the JS. So it was either the VP or connecting rooms. I have been told both ways with regard to suite perks for the VP room. I guess time will tell.

What is the category designation for 1804 and 1854?
Category VP - Ocean View Panoramic Suite (No Balcony). There are only two per ship and Adventure does not get them until dry dock. My price could be high because I have too many kids. lol
-
I find this hard to believe as these staterooms are priced lower than Junior Suites, which do not get a gold card.
I don't think 1804 or 1854 is priced lower than Junior Suites on my June 29, 2018 cruise on Adventure of the Seas out of Cape Liberty. Now the regular panormaic stateroom might be, but not those two that hold 6. They are pricey.

Last month we booked the OV Panoramic for NE/Canada Cruise next June. I was looking at the 2 connecting rooms too, but the OV Panoramic sleeps 6, and has 2 bathrooms. It is 406 sq. ft. which is bigger than 2 connecting rooms together. Good Luck.

We are in 1804 on Adventure of the Seas late June 2018. I appreciate all of this information you guys have. Please update us if you get any more information.
Thanks,
Scott
