  1. Like a lot of Celebrity's pages, the website is not great and does seem to display differently depending on the device you're using.

I've been on it twice using Chrome on my smartphone and put in offers and clicking them through and they all seem to lock into place but today, when I went on my Surface Book it appeared that there were no offers submitted, and it was the first time I was asked to provide payment details (I'd just assumed that they'd charge the cards associated with the booking) so really don't have any kind of idea of what's happening with my bids.

Same cabin category, so no difference there.  The OBC looks less in your screenshot.

So I just got off the phone with Celebrity and asked about the difference in price I was seeing and it appears that everything is the same, but the price continued to be tinkered with by Celebrity during the Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale period.

They did say to me in order to get the new price, I would have to pay an admin fee of £75 per passenger, which obviously would erode the saving. I wasn't happy with this answer (I noticed the price difference within two days of booking and tried to speak personally but couldn't get through immediately, but they were sticking to the £150 admin fee).

I asked for my query to be escalated, and long-story short, they noted I was a Captain's Club member and gave me the better pricing, but warned any future changes would need to paid for with the admin fee.

  3. I booked on Wednesday this week from the UK site (which I think was one of the first days of the Black Friday offers. This is what I chose and paid for:

    RESERVATION CONFIRMATION
SI 4 NIGHT BRUGES & AMSTERDAM CRUISE
    Sail Date: 25-August-2022

    Stateroom Number: 9218
    PAYMENT SUMMARY (in GBP)
    Total Cost: 1607.00

This includes second guest at half price and upgrade of drinks page and £300 onboard credit.

I've looked at the site today after reading some of the posts in this thread and I'm seeing similar trip for almost £100 less. Am I missing something?

  4. Yeah - we've never been on a ship with rollercoasters or even a waterslide, having sailed so far on:

Ms Ryndam (the one from 1993) but we took our voyage in 2013

    Celebrity Constellation (2016)

    Cunard Queen Mary 2 (2017)

    Celebrity Equinox (2018)

    Majestic Princess (2019)

    Regal Princess (2021)

So I think the port heavy itinerary might suit us well, especially at those prices.

  5. Hi there,

Regular cruiser in a travel loving couple (38m/39m) and we're just back from a week on Regal Princess and already gagging for the next cruise.

Of the main lines, I've never sailed Royal Caribbean and Norwegian and have seen a fantastic deal, including flights from the UK, for eight days on the Grandeur of the Seas with a fantastic port-a-day itinerary in early April.

I know she's the oldest in the fleet but should I be worried about this sailing or this ship (suddenly leaving the fleet etc.)

We enjoy cruises for the ships and the exploration of places and ports fairly equally but don't need massive ships or waterslides etc. to unwind.

We're not really worried about clientele being older than us as keep to ourselves but equally enjoy most people's company.

I'd be interested in your thoughts on the ship, past trips you've taken on her and Royal sailings on ships of this vintage.

You can install the App.  Then, you can have your own ID/Password.  You will have a Captain's Circle Member number.  You need that, your name, and birthdate to setup an account.  Then you log in as you and you will see the booking info as well as your husband.

Thank you so much! All sorted now.

  7. So I am travelling with my husband and he was the one who made the booking.

I'm down as a passenger and I can see myself within his app, but is there anyway that I can have my own account linked to that booking or do I need to just install the app with his username and password.

  8. We booked a deluxe balcony room and have been upgraded to a mini-suite free of charge for our upcoming journey on Saturday on Regal Princess.

I asked yesterday if there was the opportunity to pay an uplift and move to a suite and they advised that they were now keeping a lot of rooms empty in each class of room in case the need occurred for self-isolation.
