It was on the main road.. traffic buzzed by as we walked to the only  restaurant nearby (it was excllent) Hotel was  not really  worth  $300/ night we paid in January. Not the greatest neighborhood.. old and seedy.

 

The semi roof top pool was not appealing...so we just bided our time while waiting to check in and then left as soon as we could the next day

 

We skipped the pricey bkfst buffet set out in a bar/ counter..ugh! At least they sold us a bagel with our coffee. Spirit  Airline staff stays there so maybe that's why it was  not very  big on any luxuries or amenities.

 

It was a  convenient but winding, drive into the port, but we would not stay there again!  We are booked near the Convention Center  and 17th St. next!

Caffeine dehydrates you (per my urologist) which contributes to the formation of kidney stones.

We had 14 wonderful Celebrity cruises with a great MDR, in August we had a big shock with the new mashed potato menus. Not just the tatties, the meals in general are a world apart from previous cruises and not in a good way.

I hope and pray that the high heid yins at Celebrity see the folly of their ways and reverse their damaging changes.

What they don't realize is that the Riff-Raff class represents 95% of the guests on the boat.  But the elitist attitude is always entertainment at best. I make more money than 95% of them, but have never seen the value in over priced suites/AQ on a boat that I'm going to only spend 7 days of my life. Especially considering we spend most of our time outside of sleeping, not in the cabin. If I want nice digs, it's going to be at an air bnb in the mountains, where we'll spend more time in than out.
BUT, the entertainment value is real!
