I've reached out to the concierge onboard (after receiving a welcome email) to see if it is something he can answer :)

Perhaps the policy has changed, but that is different than what I understood.
I thought they would refund the entire cost of the package (all days) and then charge individually for all drinks ordered.
This is the current FAQ entry, and the wording has changed such that I don't know what they are saying (as usual:rolleyes:):
https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/beverage-package-cancellation-policy
Yeah this is what the FAQ implies. I'd call, but sure I'd get three different answers :')
If anyone else has a personal anecdote, I'd be interested!

Thanks for the advice, seems like a good way to test the waters of the drink package for the first couple of days before deciding. That is, if the FAQ is to be believed, and it is possible.

Hi All,
I read on RCCLs website that whilst onboard you can choose to cancel your beverage package and receive a pro-rated refund in the form of OBC, with any drinks consumed charged at full price.
The wording:
"Any orders canceled up to two days before the sail date are 100% refundable. Once onboard, refunds will be credited to the guest's folio account. Any partially consumed portion of the package will be charged at full price."
Can anyone confirm this is the case ... If by say day 5, I've only consumed $250 in drinks, I could cancel for a refund of the remaining amount? Would this work on the last day?
Cheers,

Hi All,
Managed to score a great deal on the Royal Family Suite (12648) for an upcoming cruise on Oasis. Only 3 of us, so should be plenty of space!
Just had a couple of questions:
- This suite is half of the old "Presidential Suite". How does this differ from the other RFS? I know there is a jacuzzi on the balcony, any other differences? Furniture on balcony/etc?
- Any other photos from anyone thats stayed in the cabin?
Any other thoughts/opinions would be great :)
Thanks all!
Best,

I can give you my experience in Star Class. We were on Harmony in Feb. 2017 and had 2 couples traveling with us. 1 couple was also in a Star Class Suite (different Genie though) and the other couple was in a non suite.
Our non-suite friends were always invited to participate in any activity that the rest of us were. As you would expect, they were presented with a check for dining when we dined together but were never ever excluded from anything, something for which we were extremely grateful.
Whenever we had reserved seats in the theater(s) they were also given reserved seats right with us. We never invited the non-suite guests to the Suites lounge or CK. We saved them and the Concierge the pressure/embarrassment of having to admit/deny them but for all of the shows and dinner reservations, they received the same treatment that we did.
We boarded and disembarked at different times so I could not advise you about those processes but if I had to guess (and that's all it would be) I would say that they would have been accommodated, graciously.
Good to know, thank you!

Hi all,
We currently have two ocean-view balconies, and a good deal has come up on a Royal Family Suite. Is it possible to merge the two cabins into the one RFS after the final payment date has passed?

I would expect that you would have the best luck with having guests for your in-suite dining.
Thanks!
Does anyone else have any personal experiences?
Cheers all,

Hello,
We're really looking forward to traveling on Oasis next month in a Grand Loft Suite!
Just wanted to see if anyone here had any experience traveling in "Star Class" with immediate family in a non-star cabin. (In this case our two adult children).
I'm not looking to game the system in any way, and don't expect anything, I just want to see if anyone had personal experiences.
Namely:
1) Can they board the ship at the same time as us with the Genie?
2) Reserved seating at shows, I assume the Genie will be able to get seats for just us, but figured I'd ask.
3) I hear they can join at specialty resturaunts under our reservation (though we have to pay the extra for them). Would they also be able to join for in suite dining under the same conditions?
Any other antedotes would be appreciated!
Cheers!
