  1. We took Excursion when we were in Vietnam. We were in Danang, arrived with the Celebrity Millennium and the cruise ship docks far from Danang. We enjoined the excursion very much. The guide was very informative. My recommendation is to take the excursion from the ship because to my impression, you need a good guide in Vietnam, and because you come to limited time this way you can maximize your stay. You can see the details of our trip in our website:

  2. You can do Hong Kong by your own. there is a free shuttle bus from the port to the mall, and from there you can board the MTR. We did it the first time we came with a cruise to Hong-Kong.

In that cruise we took the Ngong Ping 360 to go to Lantau. It was great and we enjoined it very much. you can see detail about it in their web site: https://www.np360.com.hk/en/

you take the MTR to Tung Chung Station and there it starts.

Last January we started a cruise from hong kong. we walked around central, went to Macau to central, Avenue of stars, the Flower Market and the Bird garden. you can see at our blog the detail of what we did there and how to go by your self in the MTR.

  4. We also been in Taipei last January with Celebrity cruises. We used the train to go from keelung to Taipei, and than, continued with the and than continued with the MRT (local metro) and went to the Taipei Gondola.

We boarded the MRT brown line to Taipei Zoo, and from there we walked to the entrance of the Taipei Gondola. we bought tickets to the gondola. There are two types of Gondola cabins: Crystal Cabins and regular ones. The Crystal cabins are modified from the original gondola cabins. The bottom of the original cabin was replaced with tri-layer reinforced glass. There are two separate lines to the two types of cabins, and the line to the crystal cabin was significantly longer.

    There are four stations:

We took a regular cabin to the fourth station: Maokong Station. The main attraction of this stop is the food. There are stalls that sell noodles, sausages, and even Korean food. Also, there are a couple of hot pot restaurants and several coffee shops. we just walked a little and took some pictures, and than boarded a crystal cabin to the third station Zhinan Temple Station. The place is breath taking. Not only is it a beautiful location, but you can see all of Taipei from there. We went to the temple which was decorated specially to the Chinese new year and took a lot of pictures.
