  1. Many thanks to all of you for your kind informations. We know now that we don't have to bother any longer about the documents. The boarding pass has been printed a long time ago. We are just looking forward to our oncoming holiday.

  2. We booked Seabourn Encore in December. As we will leave home many weeks before the shipping date, we asked our TA to make sure that the necessary documents would be sent to us before departure from home. However, he seems unable to comply. Has anyone had the same problems and how did you solve them?

  3. Chairsin - Can I ask you what you did in Castro, Chiloe Island. I quite fancy touring some of these splendid wooden churches but the ship's tour seems exorbitantly priced and not very good, spending too much time for lunch and shopping. I can't find any local tour agents so plan to wing it when we get there.

We stayed in Castro in March. Just asked a taxi driver to take us to the places we wanted to see. The distances are not very long, so it's easy to go around.

  4. As my husband and I are going to sail on Encore in December (AUS and NZ), I wonder if anyone can inform me about the temperature to expect in the dining room and the other public areas. On several ships the temperature was often so low, that it felt like cruising in a fridge. If you habe recently been on Encore, this information would very much help me to pack the right clothes. - Thank you.

  5. After reading all these negative as well as positive comments about Encore, I'm still very much looking forward to my first Seabourn cruise that will take place in December from Sydney to Auckland. Most of my previous cruises were on the bigger Oceania ships (Marina and Riviera), which I enjoyed enormously, especially as their Penthouse suites are very comfortable.
