Ok so now I’m really confused. We have the free at sea package with unlimited “open bar” does that include bottled water. From what I read I thought not. So if I have that package how much does it cost to upgrade to a package that includes the bottled water? Trying to avoid the carton water Thanks all this is awesome

That’s what I was thinking and just read about the upgraded beverage. I assume that we would have to both upgrade? So I guess I have to figure it out. From what I read to upgrade it’s $29 per person per day? That would be let’s say $60 per day and on a 10 day cruise an extra $600 for bottled water. Might just be better off buying them individually but then again I do like a specialty coffee so I have to figure it out. Thanks so much for the input been a long time since I sailed NCL

Haven’t sailed NCL in a while and am booking the Prima in the Haven. My last NCL sailing in the Haven water was not provided and had to buy a water package and it was water in carton. Are they still charging for a water package? Does having the unlimited open bar package get any kind of bottled water? I know this might sound trivial but my wife has a condition that requires her to drink a lot of water and from what we remember the water in the carton wasn’t very good

Can anyone recommend a hotel that offers a Day Pass on the island. I looked on the usual websites and the only options I could find were the Grand Camanian and one other that both didn’t have very good reviews and no beach? any recommendations appreciated?

Are you saying when you got onboard the restaurants were available? I am looking now our cruise is in may and many are sold out

So we just booked a last minute cruise and it says all the specialty restaurants we want are sold out. I know they offer a limited amount pre sailing on the website/app at a discount. Was looking at the specialty restaurant trio package a few questions 1. What happens if we book and board and the specialty restaurants we want aren’t available? 2. Are all restaurants included like Eden, Le Petite Chef, and Le Petite Cafe for lunch? 3. Is Raw on 5 included with it? I’m thinking no since it’s a la carte 4. Could we do the same restaurant twice? Let’s say we wanted to Eden 2 nights for dinner could we if we could get a reservation? any input appreciated

So we went and booked a Jost Van Dyke tour thru them. Get off the ship early and tour is supposed to start at 9:15 am for the boat over to JVD. At 9:45 they tell us their boat is broken so they put us in cabs over to the public ferry and then cabs on JVD when we get there to Soggy Dollar. We were supposed to be back at the ship at 1:45 but since we were delayed going there they said stay at JVD until 2:45. After that a cab to the pier and there boat was working and a half hour ride back to the ship so what’s started bad ended up being very good i will note that I think we could have just walked off the ship in Tortola and walked up to their booth and booked directly and saved a few bucks but not sure what their capacity is. Anyway for the price and that they gave us more time after a breakdown I give them a thumbs up and would use again. the JVD tour is a great afternoon by the way

Going on the Ascent soon and looking at booking this dinner on the edge. When I go to book on the website or app the time it shows is 10am? Seems a rather odd time for dinner? Has anyone booked this or know why this is how it shows?

Hi and thank you. We are sailing on Celebrity Ascent and stopping in Tortola. We have been to the Baths often and want to get over to Jost Van Dyke for an afternoon. I have seen some direct providers mentioned that a very expensive like private excursions. We are just looking to get over to Jost and have a drink and a bite for a few hours and get back. I saw an excursion on shore excursions group.com that says it’s a 4 hour excursion there and back that includes ferry rides. I’m guessing this is them taking us to the public ferry and putting us on and telling us to get on the return. I have no problem paying them if they arrange the taxis to the ferry and the rides back. I did a google search and the first reviews that popped up were very negative but I realize that the people that make the most noise are ones that had poor experiences and anyone company can have a bad day so I figured I would ask the good people of this board if they have used them and get an idea from people who have used them from a cruise like we will be. Celebrity doesn’t have an excursion to Jost Van Dyke and truth be told I’m not crazy about ship excursions the meeting in the theater and waiting to go, Any guidance greatly appreciated

So I saw a company called shore excursions group and they have an excursion to Jost. Has anyone used this company? I did a quick google search and the first few results weren’t very favorable. Anyone have any other private excursion companies they can recommend

Ok please be kind I tried searching the boards and it just showed me every post with the word excursion. has anyone used shoreexcursionsgroup.com? They have a nice excursion for an upcoming cruise I want to do as the ship doesn’t offer one

Going on my 5th celebrity cruise and just saw on the website they have a 3 specialty dining package. We tend to do about 3 specialty restaurants a sailing. I couldn’t make heads or tails of what was included in the package though. Could we dine at Eden on this package? Is the package worth it?

You are correct it was an on board booking well before Celebrity made all their changes so that’s what my travel agent is telling me to do pick a future cruise I want to go on and move the reservation this way I retain all my onboard credit. That’s correct right I maintain all my onboard credit from the previous reservation? A previous post said just cancel and then rebook something when I want. But I know that I want to do this future cruise I’m moving to so I’m thinking it’s more to my advantage to change the booking correct?

So if I’m moving a cruise booking to another cruise and I have the non-refundable deposit do I lose the $200 deposit I have placed in the first cruise plus the $200 change fee? This would be $200 deposit lost plus $200 change fee so I lose $400?

So after a fairly disappointing sailing on Celebrity in the Retreat with all their changes people on board we’re suggesting we try the Yacht Club on MSC. Has anyone done both that can give me some comparisons? For when we are looking choices of ships are Divina and Seascape any suggestion as to which ship to choose and why? Any other input appreciated

Agreed 100%. It was a combination on several small things and I didnt want to sound critical as these are really minor issues so I too did not want to sound petty. I was curious to hear from people as at some point these petty things are really what the cost is supposed to be for. In looking at the cost of future cruise the price has gone up substantially along with everything else in life, but it actually had me start wondering where is that point where the higher cost and less benefits and lackluster service makes the Retreat not worth it???
