So just got off the Shilouette and we had a sunset sky suite. Upon hearing the news that the were removing the butlers and having a team didnt bother us we tend not to really use a butler. Well we never saw anyone from our butler team. Upon boarding we went to the Retreat Lounge and explained that my wife has a medical issue and drinks a lot of water during the day. We asked if they could put extra bottles of the Evian and a few diet cokes for me in the room and the people at the lounge said NO PROBLEM. I asked the cost and they said no charge. When we went back to the room we saw the stateroom attendant and he said he doesnt have permission to do that without a charge. We told him the Retreat lounge people said it would be ok. He said fine let me call. He called and whoever answered the phone had no idea what he was talking about. So we just waited and later in the evening still no water. Walk back to the lunge and the people there said no problem we will take care of. Next day still nothing I walk down to the lounge again and ask and tip them and then later that day the water appeared. Now before people start saying these are ridiculous problems I offered and expected to pay and either way two days to get something in the room is just not great. It seems all the work is being passed onto the stateroom attendant and poor communication makes the service feel less. Plus a lot of walking back and forth to the lounge just to have them call the attendant since we were in the very back of the ship on a higher deck and and the Retreat Lounge is front on deck 5. Poor planning on our part I guess. Other than that we never saw anyone from our Retreat "TEAM". Honestly we didnt need anything and if we did we were able to handle it ourselves. I dont know how to say it but the service just doesnt feel special anymore. I cant put my finger on why it just seems the staff cuts are actually effecting service. The Retreat sundeck the bartender was amazing. What i dont understand is why is there a kids club right there when they could have put a lounge there that has windows and is close to the sundeck??? Now we just found Celebrity and did 2 cruises on the Edge class in the retreat and maybe we were spoiled??? I knew and DID NOT expect the same Retreat area on this smaller ship but it felt less than. Maybe it was the ship maybe its the cutbacks I dont know. I did look to book another cruise and apparently the Retreat for us anyway we just do Sky Suites, doesnt include gratuities or onboard credit any longer. Three days on the Sundeck the topic of conversation between more experienced cruisers than us was how much better the service was on MSC Yacht Club. We have never experienced it but 3 different people were saying try it. They said outside the Yacht Club is a different feel than Celebrity but for the cost the the Yacht Club was far better. I cant speak to it but I wonder if Celebrity is aware that people on in the Retreat areas having discussion like this. On our first two cruises the topic was always how Celebrity is the best. Anyway we had a nice cruise as anytine on a ship is better than being home. I am no cruise expert just thought I would share and gets some insight from others

Hi First time sailing on the Silhouette in a few weeks. Looking forward. In looking on the app I see The Porch listed as an additional charge restaurant. The menu in the app just shows shrimp cocktail, Tacos, wings, charcuterie, crudités. Is this restaurant for like a meal or just some snacks? The description says the seafood tower is an additional $15 fee which I don’t mind but it doesn’t tell you what’s on the seafood tower, anyone know? Do they have oysters? In the photo it looks like someone is eating oysters? Any insight appreciated Thank you

So we have never done Alaska and our travel agent says Celebrity does not do glacier bay and would recommend another line. In looking I see Celebrity has Dawes Glacier, Southbound glacier, northbound glacier, and Hubbard glacier. She also said that the Seattle to Seattle doesn’t do the inside passage which the itinerary says it does. She said Seattle to Seattle has to go via ocean to make up time and it’s not a scenic. Suggested sailing from Victoria BC so my questions are to those who have done 1. What’s the difference in all these glaciers? Is one better than another? 2. Would prefer flying into and out of Seattle but not a deal breaker do you think the itinerary from Victoria is truly better? We have been to Victoria so don’t feel the need to stay there 3. May is a better time for us to sail but an do June or July is may not a good time to go? 4. Any other insight on Alaska anyone can provide appreciated 5. Is celebrity good for Alaska or would you suggest another line?

If sailing on the Encore on the Alaska inside passage, since close to land is there cellular service from my normal verizon carrier? If not do you feel that the higher speed wifi is necessary just for checking emails and such for work, no streaming etc.

Hi we did one Celebrity cruise and our next is in 8 days. I have the Celebrity app and my wife downloaded it and is signed in under my username and password. Should she create her own account? If so why? What would the difference be? We seemed to have no issues on our last cruise but have been reading some posts and everyone says we should each have our own wondering why?

So ending a future cruise in Southampton. Going to spend a few nights in London after. Have been to London but it’s been many years. Looking for a hotel that’s centrally located to a lot. Not looking for a “budget” hotel but don’t need a Four Seasons either but prefer a hotel with nicer amenities, a nice hotel lobby and bar etc. Any help appreciated please

Just did the Beyond and loved it and have a nice sailing on the Edge soon i live in south Florida and a flexible work schedule so looking to do a quick later year trip for a few days. All these short trips are either on the Summit or Silhouette just looking to do the retreat in a sky suite. Which ship would you experienced Celebrity Cruisers pick and why? Thanks

Hi Just did a great cruise on the Beyond, our first Celebrity and we loved it. Live in South Florida and was looking at some other short cruises. Most are on the Sihoulette, Summit or Equinox. I watched some YouTube videos of the Sky Suites and the rooms look a little dated and the retreat looks smaller. Curious as to what peoples thoughts are on these ships? I realize the Beyond is new and beautiful and hard to compare but these older ships look nice as well.

So I have always wanted to do a Transatlantic cruise. My issue is due to the length of the cruise i would need to work at times. I know most times WiFi is spotty but have heard its better on these newer class ships. Also, and I really know nothing about this, people have said that when in the middle of the ocean and not near any land the WiFi is very bad. I wouldnt need it for anything intensive like streaming video but do need a relatively good connection for online. Thats the only thing holding me back from booking. Has anyone ever done a crossing and tried to work while out at sea? Is it feasible? Thanks

Question what can Celebrity Gift Cards be used for? can they be used to pay toward your sailing or can they only be used onboard for certain items. Have some Amazon credit I need to use and notice they sell Celebrity gift cards and I have a few cruises coming up

So just returned from our first Celebrity cruise on the Beyond in the Retreat. Loved it. Looking at booking a sailing on either Edge or Apex. I asked and someone said the Edge sun deck does not have any umbrellas? Is this so? We spent quite a bit of time on the sun deck on the Beyond and it was hot at times and fortunately we were under an umbrella. anyone know about this? if you had to choose between apex and edge in the retreat which would you choose and why? Hi we are boarding our first celebrity cruise soon and very excited. Inside the App it says something to the effect of your sea pass account can be used to charge everything on the cruise BE SURE TO ADD A CREDIT CARD BEFORE BOARDING to avoid long lines once on board. I have been looking all over the app an website for a place to add a credit card so I don’t have to deal with it once onboard??? we are staying retreat level if that make a difference on when and where we can do this Anyone can tell me how to do this or what to do? Thanks

So we booked our first Celebrity cruise and are very excited to go on the Beyond. We booked a sky suite so we could have Retreat access. We were out to dinner with some friends last night who just got off a celebrity cruise and booked the beyond for their next trip while they were onboard. They said they were told while making their booking onboard that they did not want to be in a suite along the path of the Magic Carpet because the balcony will not be accessible at certain times. We looked at the deck plans and our room is right smack in the path of the Magic Carpet. Does anyone know if this is correct? We use our balcony an awful lot and will be upset to board and then find this out Thank you
