  1. I was on this cruise as well, but felt alot more stressed. We had heard we were being dropped off in Port Canaveral a day earlier than expected with no way to get home (due to evacuation, there were no flights or rental cars or even gas for that matter). We had flown into Orlando originally. So we spent one morning in line for the computers or watching the internet on the computers spin only to get to purchase a flight it was sold out. Then the next day we are told we are going to New Orleans, so we spent that morning in line for computers again trying to find a way home from there.

My husband and I were travelling without our kids to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was not the relaxing trip we had hoped for, but I'll agree with OP that the staff on board was top notch. Service and attitudes were excellent. We did feel grateful that our home was not in the path of the storm, but not being able to get a call out to our families who were worried about us was stressful. Even with purchasing a day of the internet package, it was worthless with all of the people on it.

I know it's cheaper, but we will never sail during hurricane season again.

  2. I would call Carnival 1-800-764-7419 and just ask. Each ship could be different, so they can tell you exactly for your sailing what is available. With more and more people having allergies and intolerances, I would have a hard time believing they don't have soy OR almond milk on board. But I'd call to double check.

  3. Sorry I don't have answers for you but we are going to the same ports on 11/11/17 and I also have questions. Same date for you? Which nights are formal/elegant on the Glory's 7 day cruise? Are they the Sea Days? Also ... I love dressing up but my husband does not. Would khaki pants and golf shirt be too frowned upon for the formal/elegant nights for him? I would also love to see the Fun Times for this cruise!!!

My husband loathes a sport coat, but still wears one on formal night. It's been three years since our last cruise, but we are going again on the Magic next month and he is bringing a button up dress shirt and sport coat.

  4. We just pre-ordered the water as well since seeing the rules change of not being able to bring bottled water in your carry on (we last cruised right before that rules change was made). I think the longer time passes since the rules change, the higher the price of the water will get. It's "low" now to help buffer the grudge against the rule change, and as that gets father into the past I would bet the water price goes up. JMO

  5. We are travelling on the Carnival Magic in September going to Amber Cove DR, Grand Turk and Nassau. Any recommendations for excursions without a weight limit? My husband is 6'3" and weighs right at 300 pounds, but the excursions that look enjoyable for us (ATVs, zip lines, power snorkel, etc) mostly have a weight limit per person. Since we'll be relaxing during our days at sea, we are looking for a little more adventure in port. We've cruised mostly with our children, but this time will be just us, so we thought this would be our chance to do something fun without the little ones. Thanks!
