I’ve just booked two guaranteed inside cabins. After I pressed pay, I realised that I hadn’t been asked about dining preferences . Also each cabin has a separate booking number. Is this because guarantee bookings only get dining assignments after everyone who paid full price is happy? 

We we are quite happy to have cabins in different bits of the ship but we do want to eat together and avoid the late sitting.

i have the coeliac condition and so need to eat a gluten free diet. I am booked on some strenuous excursions (7 mile hikes) with an included snack. The snack is therefore an essential “keep your blood sugar up” rather than a “taste the local waffles with homemade jam”

I have “gluten free diet” noted on my reservation; will this carry over to my excursion booking? Years ago I travelled on Norwegian and just before the ship docked there was a knock at my door saying “room service” which I hadn’t ordered. I was presented with a gluten free packed lunch for my excursion that day. Does Celebrity’s do something like this? Do I need to ask for this when I am onboard? Britain will still be in the EU at the time of the cruise so there should be no problem in bringing food onshore, so I could make my own packed lunch at the breakfast buffet.

TL.DR does Celebrity provide special diet snacks on excursions; what do I have to do to get a gluten free packed lunch to eat at the top of a mountain?

I’m physically fit and love kayaking and hiking. I already have a hike booked in Flam (train up and hike down along the roads) and a kayak excursion in Alesund (round the shorefront of the town)

In Gerainger I’m finding it hard to choose between kayaking in the fjord or hiking to Storsteter waterfall. Both excursions would be a different experience to the ones I have already booked.

So I’m throwing this question out to cruise critic members. If you’ve done either of these Gerainger excursions, were they awesome or just OK?

It would be great if you could give me any good points or bad points about either excursion.

We are travelling to Norway as a couple. I am booked on excursion A and my partner has no excursions booked in that port. We want to switch around so that she does excursion A and I book excursion B. Given the timings it’s not possible for one person to do both.

Can we just book excursion B in her name and use each other’s tickets, or do we have to cancel and rebook excursion A in her name?

The reason I don’t want to cancel and rebook is that we are travelling with Canadian friends (we are in the U.K.) and they are also booked on excursion A. I don’t want to release excursion A in case it gets taken by someone else while it is back in the system as an available place.
