Hi, looking through the pictures......for the size of the those? 100.00 or more for most of them? Way too

    pricey (just my opinion).

At first, I thought it was pricey and it took me a few months to finally buy it. But when I looked at the big picture of having to replace my phone if dropped or having it swiped by pickpockets I felt the price was worth it for me. Plus, I use my phone as my camera and I hate trying to dig it out for photos and sometimes would miss the perfect shot. This keeps my phone handy and safe.

if you watch the website, they often have sales and can be gotten much cheaper.

Also here is a similar product but much cheaper

But like I always tell my husband...something is only worth what your willing to pay.

  2. Not sure what NCL is charging you for “free air” but in Jan. 2019 I found  roundtrip from EVV to Rome  (connecting in Chicago) October 2019 for $520 pp on United.

Last year, I bought air in Feb. for October Evv to Venice round trip on United for $500 pp again 1 connection in Chicago.

So you might want to track flights on your own.

  3. We did our 1st NCL Cruise last year on the Star to the Greek Isles.

We found  it impossible to change any specialty dining reservations once onboard but we were not haven guests.

The Greek celebration tour by NCL in Santorini was worth the high price tag and by far a family favorite - including meal, dancing and plate smashing.

The thermal spa pass was a win-win for relaxing after long port intensive cruise days. It was never busy. I only ever saw 4-5 people max. If more than 2 people sharing room (someone can always save time and get ready in spa - shower and do hair).

Cagney’s was amazing. Actually tried to book a 2nd night but was booked.

I am thinking about staying at Hotel Al Duca. How did you transfer from the airport to the hotel and hotel to port?  Was it pretty easy? Did you have to carry your luggage very far?

We stayed at Hotel Al Duca Oct. 2017. It was fabulous. We took a private water from airport to hotel. We only walked about 3 min.

The hotel arranged for us taxi to to pier. The hotel staff took our luggage and loaded it. The taxi took us straight to the pier and unloaded our luggage.

  5. Try looking at this hotel, it might be within your budget. We stayed there Oct. 2018. We were pleased. We took water taxi from airport and it was only 2 min walk from where they dropped us off.

  6. I will be on the Dawn in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if I purchased future cruise certificates can I use them on a cruise already booked, but have not made final payment? I'm thinking they are only used for a deposit on a future cruise, but thought it might be worth asking.

I was able to use 2 on the cruise I had already booked. I also was able to apply as payment online with no assistance from anyone else.

  7. We have booked a 7:00 morning flight on Sunday, so having a short trip to the airport would be good. The Best Western Titan Inn seems close and reasonably priced. Anyone stayed there? Also, we're trying to come up with a plan for after the cruise. We don't want to go to the hotel until later in the day, but we will have our luggage.

I found the following information on another thread and saved it. You might find it useful

    Disembarkation:

If you have late flights, there are a few options for leaving your luggage at port and visiting Venice for the day.

    1. there is an excursion to Padua before airport transfer - that excursion was cancelled on my sailing (May 7 - 14).

    2. Airport Transfer - $30 pp They will store your bags until you come back for bus transfer to the airport. Our flight wasn't until 5pm and we purchased the airport transfers. We left the ship before 9am and explored Venice and then came back to the port for a 2:15 transfer to the airport. They brought the bags out from their storage area to the bus area and we just transferred them over to the bus to the airport. It took about 20 minutes for the bus ride and we were met by a Norwegian rep who walked us from the bus lot into the airport and pointed us to the check in area.

    3. Bag Storage at the port (not thru Norwegian). 5 euro per bag stored. available between 8 am and 5 pm. They also had options to transfer bags to the train station (8 euro) or to a Venice hotel (10euro) or to the airport (12.50 euro) so you wouldn't have to come back to the port.

    4. Bag Storage at the train station or the bus terminal. We didn't check into the prices, but were told about the option.

  8. We booked our flights for October 4 -15 directly with United in February for $1504 total for 3 people. That’s $500 a ticket from our small town in Indiana (this was a steal). 3 hours later the same tickets were a grand total of $5043.

My friends and I are booked for 8 nt Adriatic 10/28-11/5 and I'm waiting for air fares to drop. I think you may have jumped the gun booking your flights already if you booked Economy. Best time to purchase for US to Europe is 3-6 months out. If you booked Business or First then maybe not so much. Enjoy your trip and let us know how the disembarkation goes.
