Thanks for all of the replies.  I am so anxious for this trip - 4 days in London and then out to sea.  We are from Iowa but it will be warm weather when we leave home.  Again thank you to all - I can start thinking about what to pack, set everything out that I may need and then put half of it back away. 
 

Has anyone stayed at Embassy Suites recently?  It is one of the Princess recommended hotels but I have seen a lot of bad reviews. We have stayed there in the past - several years ago and it was Ok for one night - good location. 

.Can anyone tell average weather at British Isles ports in July??  Just wondering what clothing to take. 
 

I cannot find any Princess ships going to St Martin - what happened??

Are jeans acceptable for ladies on this trip?  I do mean nice jeans and not your everyday worn out jeans.

We are booked on the Zaandam in an outside cabin (no balcony rooms except suite). We have been told that there are no refrigerators in those room. I have sailed on Holland some time ago and that was not the case. On all of the various ships we have sailed on they all had refrigerators. What is the problem with refrigerators on the Zaandam?

I got one for my Apple Watch. It was great and I will use it again on my next cruise.

Can anyone tell me the normal tipping rate for the porters that take your luggage at the pier for delivery to the ship?  I realize that these are not Princess employees but just not sure what they expect to receive. It doesn't look like they actually do too much.  Thank you.

First of all I want to apologize because I know that this topics has been hashed over many times. That being said, I just read today that Princess allows adults to wear nice dress shorts in the main dining room and the anytime dining room on all evenings - even formal nights. I haven't cruised for a year but have things actually changed that much in one year?

What is Club Class dining? That is a new term for me.

We are going to San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle. We sail from LA to Vancouver and overnight in San Francisco.

Checking to see if anyone can tell me about a west coast repositioning cruise. I am looking for info on tours, anticipated weather in May and any other helpful information that anyone can share. Thanks. :)

i am trying to find a Viking River Cruise where most of the ports are just a short walk into the town area rather than a bus ride. I realize that the buses are needed for the excursions but would just like to walk into the town during any free time.

Very easy Walk from Embassy Suites. We have been known to purchase a case of water and carry it back to Embassy Suites.

We each traveled on the land tour with a small wheeled carry on bag that we checked and had delivered to our room each night. We also each had a backpack with personal items in it. We brought one large suitcase that we shared and had sent to the ship. Worked very well for us.

We were on the Coral last summer in Alaska and we loved it. It was a reminder of the ships we cruised on years ago. While we enjoy everything the big ships have to offer we also enjoyed the smaller more intimate ship. I think that Princess is great and they have something for everyone. It is fun to compare the different ships. We are booked on a larger ship for an upcoming cruise but the itinerary is more important to us than the ship size.
