We are taking Adonia in November for our first Caribbean cruise and need advice on which islands are better seen on a organised excursion and which islands done on our own. We are really confused as all the advice we have seen is somewhat conflicting. We really are novices and know nothing, apart from what we have read. So we need sound and sensible advice.
I am also on Adonia in November. I have been to the Caribbean a few times and unless you want a trip by boat, I would always recommend a taxi. You see what you want and can spend more time at a places. The drivers will drop you at a beach and return when you want them to. Always pay when you get back to the ship and you should have no problem. Unless you really want a certain P&O trip, I would advise waiting until you get on board before booking because the tour talks on board can often give you ideas about what you want to do.
