  1. I agree with ronrick, Regent does have a problem with this and they make no attempt to correct it. Just posting a request doesn't do it. Perhaps all cruise lines experience this issue because many passengers simply have no regard for others. If staff would clear the chairs, much of the problem might go away.

I totally agree here - if the cruise line actively (key word) enforced their polices, there would be zero issues!

  2. we are going on Explorer in July and it still shows we are doing it.

I believe we are on same cruise 16 July and I was really looking forward to going thru the canal. Read previous posts about how beautiful it is, with people waving from shore and all the colors.

  3. Sheila,

Thank you for your reply. Our issue that my father is not wheelchair dependent, but may require a bit of assistance in certain ports. We wanted to rent from site and not drag a chair with us. Given the demographics of Regent I am truly surprised we are encountering such an issue!

  4. I will be taking my first "Explorer " cruise in July, but have taken over 10 cruises with other lines. My suggestion is just enjoy!!!! The Med is hands down my favorite place to cruise and this ship will be the ultimate in luxury! So go with it no worries and remember to post your thoughts/observations!

Have a fabulous time and enjoy the sun kissed shores and smells of my favorite places on earth:hearteyes:

  5. We are taking a trip to the Baltics and have encountered a bit of a glitch - we need a wheel chair and the company our TA recommends does not service Regent. The company Regent works with has a terrible reputation ( special needs @ sea)

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated please!!!

  6. And it also has a bright power LED light if it's not unplugged (it 'pulses' if I remember correctly). I think I used mine maybe twice on my last cruise.

Now what I could REALLY use would be a 2- or 3-liter oak barrel with some rye Manhattans aging inside. Some Luxardo cherries in the fridge and a nice big ice ball and I'd be set. :D

I do so love your responses Bill. How bout sharing that barrel please!

  7. You almost definitely could use the pool in the Baltic in July (I used the term "almost" because with the weather changes in the world, nothing is guaranteed). While both pools are heated, the infinity pool is a bit warmer (probably because it is small and heats up easily).

Have a great time in the Baltics!

Thank you TC for responding so quickly:cool:

  8. WOW - we will be on Explorer next July and reading this surprises me. Never on my 10+ cruises ( all with larger lines) have I or anyone in my party had these kinds of experiences. Food and service can be spotty at times, people are human. However, multiple times on a luxury line like Regent truly shocks me. I hope someone from Regent is taking notes and it is addressed sooner rather than later.

  9. Greetings from South Beach, 53wonder. When we visited Gdansk, we purchased two spectacular amber necklaces in a jewelry store right across from St. Mary's Church, where Pope John Paul was a priest before his elevation. There are many other amber shops in this town. We also visited shops in Copenhagen. Have a good time.

Thank you so much for your reply. Knowing exactly where to go really helps when time is limited.

  10. Hi All

We are going on our first Regent cruise July of '18 and super excited to spend two weeks with family.

I love amber and one of my favorite pieces was purchased in Copenhagen years ago on another cruise. Since we will be in a part of the world famous for their amber, I of course plan to shop! So I was hoping to hear if anyone had any suggestions or knowledge of great shopping areas to not be missed.
