We were in 11663 a month ago on a b2b alaska cruise. I agree with the above poster. The location is fantastic! We were 3rd cabin in from the exit to the back. It's close to everything but mostly the aft bar. The pool was cold so it went mostly unused but there are 2 hot tubs that were busy.  We would hot tub then grab a towel and run back to the room. That aft is what we wish was on every ship. There were no parties out there at night .Maybe because it was Alaska? 

Just off the Spirit last week. We got a different colour of bag tags that indicated you had booked a transfer so the staff loading the busses just looked at your bags for the tags. Our bags were in a separate area in the terminal for pick up too.

Thank you @YVRteacher for this post. I have followed daily and look forward to each update. We have been on an NCL cruise on the Sun to Alaska and wanted to return. Started sharing your posts with my husband last Sunday. We looked at each other and said let's go. Long story short went to travel agent yesterday and booked b2b August 16 to 30. All because of you we are excited to be going back and also on the Spirit, our favourite ship.. The clock is ticking for all of us so thanks for the push!

We planned a family trip last Dec. On the Gem. Son and his wife and 3 kids plus hubby and I. They were first time cruisers. In Oct. Son had surgery for a broken foot and died at 41 of a blood clot 3 weeks later. Went back and forth as to go or not but since it was past final payment and the kids still wanted to go we did. Told them at check in he wouldn't be sailing. No problem. Will inform the ship. That didn't happen and they sent letters to their cabin about not showing up for muster drill and poor cabin steward asked the kids where their dad was. We worried if we told them ahead of time they would screw up the drink package they had and if anyone needed a drink it was her. On board they removed the dsc and 2 weeks later we were refunded port fees and taxes and drink service charge. Hope this helps.

Had 11568 and 11570 in December. Thought they would be great cabins. Worst noise ever. Banging and draining of water till early morning. Under the kiddy pool and the poolside bar. Do not book these cabins.

Thanks for your info. Most helpful. Taking our granddaughters in December and could I ask you how you got to Jetty park for 2 dollars? Was there a shuttle or is that what a cab charged? And what did they charge to enter the park?

Also when you said you got conch fritters at the cruise spot was that in the port area inside the fence?

PS we are just off the star in February and had a big concern over the temperature of the food in the buffet also. Warmish meatballs etc.

Just off the Star on Friday. Cabin steward said the dry dock was scheduled for Marseille France. The plan was for a complete overhaul of the back of the ship where the small kids section is, plus all rooms getting new beds and Tv's. All crew would be staying on board to help strip the rooms etc.
