  1. Hi everyone quick update.. last night our flight to Miami was cancelled .

We have decided enough is enough and cut our losses on this one.

We have taken the option to change to another cruise within 2 years. I booked a flight last last night to Rhodes and we fly out today for 10 nights..

Hope you all have a wonderful trip and someone please have a mojito for me

  2. i have no idea about cancellations or anything, my guess is that they will re-route to other ports. i am taking a break from being excited about our cruise in june while we prepare for this massive storm to hit our house, i wish all i had to worry about right now was my cruise being cancelled :(

Puts things into perspective, stay safe everyone in the UK are holding for the best for you.

  3. Hi

Just spoke to the Australian Reps of MSC Cruises. They told me nothing has been decided. All ports as planned. Even though St Maartans was basically destroyed and others on that eastern route devastated. Cant give any indication of alternative plans or routing and basically " just wait to you hear from us in a week ".... You would think all these cruise liners would have Plan B to roll out. Still , it is early as the hurricane is still passing through.

Suck it up what will be will be...... this is truely a mystery tour from Australia. Not knowing what I am heading to and where... LOL

    Take care everyone.

Same for us from London! we fly to Miami Thursday for the 16th Sailing on Divina

If they decide to cancel the sailing I hope the do this by Wednesday

  4. Sorry me again! If they decide to cancel the 16th sailing how much notice do they usually give? We fly 13th on a prize flight so can't change it .. if we cancel now we get no refund on the cruise.

But worries we will get there Wednesday and then Thursday or Friday they decide to cancel ..thanks ! X

  5. Sorry Julie, I should've just said no ;)

DH and I are both avid football fans (or soccer to our US friends) so it's something I plan in. At least you have a lovely ship to explore and enjoy whilst he gets his fix. I've just made DH tour Europe to watch Leicester City when he supports someone else :o

Thank You! He will miss the hammers but I am sure will survive!.

  6. Julie, additional info for DH, outside of the UK all Premier League games are available live on TV. If you were ashore there should be plenty of bars showing games or if he's looking for a specific team/match they are easily available on the internet (not that I advocate that sort of thing obviously ;) ) if you were somewhere with free wifi or prepared to use your onboard data.

The BT Sport app works overseas, if you subscribe to BT Sports. The Sky Sports app doesn't or didn't.

Thank you! ...he has now got BT sports on his phone and have the internet package so he should pick up (West Ham) or any football really ...YAWN!!

  7. It doesn't but was long enough that it wasn't terrible turning around and running back and forth. Carnival lines have an actual jogging track but this was better than the treadmill. I'm so bad at running on a treadmill, I teeter and totter! And I didn't keep up my fitness routine onboard like I planned so I only went a few times. Oops! :o

I take my running kit on every holiday and my husband says it just takes up space in the case as it rarely gets used!! BUT I am determined this time as I pile on weight on a normal holiday so a Cruise will be lethal! ... but we will see ..!

Just seen they do a water bike spin type class that looks interesting

  8. Yes, deck 7 was good for jogging. The "jogging track" on deck 15 is a joke. I think they just say that to make you believe (as I did) they actually have a dedicated jogging area. That deck fills with chairs during the day and people at night. But deck 7 next to the life boats was perfect for jogging.

Sounds good does it go all the way around the ship?? I find treadmill running so boring

  9. Yes, they do have Spinning classes in the gym. On Splendida in the Med Sea, they were 10 Euros, discounted to 5 Euros for Aurea experience guests. You need to sign up at the Spa reception. The class is cancelled if there are less than 5 participants.

There is a power walking track, as Skier52 pointed out. It's on deck 15 but does not go all the way around. But, if you look at deck 7 (Apollo), there is a promenade deck that goes around. I suspect that if you get there early morning, then you should be alone... with other runners.

Thank you !! that is great news ...more food and cocktails for me
