the last time I asked Carnival for the Canadian vs the US total and worked out the math it was cheaper for me to pay in US and that included the 2.5% transaction fee.  I honestly think you are on the hook either way.  As long as you don't mind doing the math every time to figure our who is coming ahead with each charge depending on the cost of currency exchange on that particular day vs the transaction fee once it hits your credit card.  I personally just slowly move Canadian funds into my US account on a regular basis when the timing is right.  I put cash into the machine before we leave the ship and then I don't get a bill afterwards.  Just my 2 cents

I have been to Atlantis 4 times now and never booked it through Carnival. It is an $8.00 taxi ride to Atlantis. They drop you off right where you pay to get in. It is way cheaper. I heard it was capacity controlled as well and have never seen it busy once.

Our family still talks about it. One of the coolest things we have experienced. We did it on the Breeze. Can't wait to try it again on our upcoming Vista cruise in february

I presently have 4 cruises booked and have been leafing through the excursions to see what we would enjoy. I often wonder why Carnival doesn't put more effort into explaining some of their excursions in more detail. What boggles me even more are the lack of reviews written by Carnival guests. You would think that just by the volume of patrons that there would be hundreds of reviews on every excursion. I booked a cabana at Half Moon Cay and there literally were only a half dozen reviews. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this.
