  1. We passed on the Free at sea drink package. But still would like to bring on a bottle of wine. In the small print I saw if you don't have the free at sea they will charge a corkage fee at Boarding???? We are departing from Pt Canaveral. I know all lines will charge a corkage fee if you bring the bottle to dinning room but at boarding???  On the other lines we put a bottle in carry on and open in the cabin, never an issue.  Any thoughts???? Has anyone seen this happen????

  2. We will be on Jade on the 15th. Last NCL before  sail way, we hustle to theater to get reservations for shows for the week. .or end up in a stand by line since many were already full. Does the Jade do resv or is it just open seating ???? Where do you go for reservations????

Also anyone know the time of shows???

    thanks

  3. Amazon has big sections magnetic door/wall decorations. I just bought a set that says my bday cruise with  fish. Since all wall are metal you can decorate the walls but bring extra magnets since sometimes the decorations magnets are not very strong. You can also buy clines at dollar store that can go on the mirror just make sure they are static not sticky

We went to Maya Chan in November, and we had been to Jaime's (on the "main drag" as we called it) a few years ago, and hands down we would choose Maya Chan. We loved it so much there that we have reservations for our September cruise that stops in Costa Maya.

so you felt safe on the transportation to and from Maya chan? was it along drive?

  6.  New to Royal, to check in for port arrival times, can I use a computer or only the app? can I check both of us in or does check in go by cabin? When check in do you do all the infor like passport number,  photo, address and credit card or only pick a time. Im book with a group and we will  be arriving separately. Never gone with a group before all new territory for me. any infor will be helpful. I understand how to do Carnival and Princess.  Also is there a  way to input info before check in I don't see anywhere? Also my cabinmate is a friend and if I'm doing the checkin for both of us I need to know what infor I need from her.

Also do they open check right at midnight??

I was on the Horizon two weeks ago.  With Stops in Aruba, Bonaire and D.R,   All these ports are Eastern time.  The ship never changed time the whole cruise, ship time matched all the ports.   It was great!!

thank you unforntunely in March, we will not have changed to EDT yet and still be on EST one hour behind Bonaire which is always AST. When I look at review there are some from early in year that say tour operator did wait for them. Im guessing, they were on EST ship time and got off too late.

  8. Vikking air has been a nightmare for us. We have spent hours and hours on hold. Saturday we check Delta and now we are double booked on first leg, after we have been ticketed.  Seems Delta canceled first flight add a new one. OK I will admit I//m picky where I sit. But now we have lost our seats and there are only a few seats left mostly singles. If this wasn't a bucket list trip I would canceled the whole thing.

  9. We had a similar experience with Viking for a June Oberammergau river cruise.  We paid the Air Plus charge plus the extra fare costs to pick the flights we wanted into Munich and out of Amsterdam.  However, due to a change which Delta made with our first outbound flight, Viking totally changed our Munich flights to another carrier and changed our return flights to an earlier time with a 1 hour layover in Atlanta (going from international to domestic).

We called Viking air and after going from an agent who was uncooperative to a an supervisor who went out of her way to be accommodating, we were able to get our original flights back and the supervisor also had the tickets issued at the same time.  The supervisor said that Viking used to outsource the flight changes but has now brought this process in-house.  Right now, they are letting the computer determine the necessary changes whenever an airline makes an itinerary change but they are working on getting a better handle of the process.

The supervisor also said that until the flights are ticketed, you are subjected to the whims of the computer and not guaranteed the flights you requested and/or paid for.  Once ticketed, a human and not a computer has to get involved with the changes.

Call Viking air and ask for a supervisor.
