  1. Just returned from our Dec 1st-9th cruise,

The ship was clean and all the staff I saw were extremely nice and helpful. There seemed to always be crew cleaning the decks.

The sunshine is in need of having it's paint striped and repainted as rust is apparent.(not horrible just noticeable)

When we arrived in our state room the cabinet door covering the mini fridge had it's upper hinge pulled out, we told our room steward and it was fixed within 1/2 hour.

One day we returned to our cabin and the latch to the balcony divider was broken. We called maintenance and they once again had it repaired within 1/2 hour.

Our cabin(11024) was on the 11th deck forward and was very quiet.

We never noticed any vibrations throughout the trip, although the ship was rocky due to the high swells. It was nice as it kind of rocked us to sleep.

This was only our second cruise with our first being on the Liberty

We had a great time and would sail on her again..

Overall I would give it an 8 out of 10

  2. We were on the Sunshine at the end of October and we were seated in the Liquid Lounge for the muster drill. No one in our group had any mobility issues.

Just off from Dec 1st-9th cruise. Muster station was 4E and we were also in the Liquid Lounge. Was very COMFY, just like watching a show. Our state room number was 11024. My SIL and BIL were in state room 8321 and had muster on deck 4, I believe muster station 4d, said it was packed.

  3. We have an eight day cruise on the Sunshine booked in December. We started out with an early saver fare for a 4A cabin. We were upgraded(no charge) to a 4B cabin with a price match along with some on board credit.

About a week ago we received an e-mail for an upsell $40 to a 4E cabin so we went ahead and took it.

At this point we have accrued $240 OBC and spent an additional $40.

Last night while doing a mock booking I found a VIFP deal for a balcony with $50 OBC for less than our original cruise fare. I called Carnival to see if we could upgrade to this current deal and the rep. was more than helpful. We ended up getting upgraded(no additional charge) to an 8T(spa balcony) along with an additional $160 in OBC.

    cliff notes:

    price matches $240

4A upgraded to 4B no charge

    4B upsold to 4E $40

4E upgraded to 8T plus additional $160 OBC

Final results 4A upgraded to 8T with $400 in OBC :D

This will be our second cruise and first with a balcony.
