    Just off the gem and my daughter couldn't get enough of splash academy... she turned 5 on the cruise... literally didn't want to leave every time we came for her. And I must say... having that was a godsend... she would've been bored with just us adults.

    was there a max capacity limit on the Gem of ~75 kids? did you have to get in line 30 min before it opens to get a ticket?

    We've taken our kiddos on a few different cruise lines, and this was the first time that they cried when they had to LEAVE kids club! They both loved it!! They are ages 9 and 11, and we also stayed in the Haven. You AND your children will have a wonderful time :)

    Checking in again. Now all the haven show sold out or not avail (not available ones our guests exceed limit). I checked to see what rooms were left and our category )large balcony has been sold out for ages. I see upgrades from my sailing group coming from room types where there were still open rooms... thinking this has much more to do with it and not something I'd thought about.

     

    So- has anyone in a b6 gotten an upgrade accepted?

    Just received our upgrade notification today (sept 27) for our Oct 29 Breakaway cruise (32 days out)

     

    We upgraded from BD "bump" balcony 10876 to an H5 Haven Courtyard Penthouse Suite for $690 per person. The minimum bid was $400 pp.

     

    My $770 pp bid for an Aft Facing H6 Penthouse was rejected, though my mock bookings showed this as sold out many days ago.

     

    As of the mock booking I did this morning before my upgrade there were 11 H5 cabins available. Currently my mock booking shows 8 available. I suspect a minimum bid on this category may well be successful, but my girlfriend and I had already set aside a decent chunk for the upgrade in case it was required since we realllly wanted Haven.

    I definitely agree with Stace894, have the boys go at least the first day, mine were 3 and 5 when they fist went and then 7 and 9 the second time, both loved it and couldn't wait to hang out with their friends in lieu of hanging with their parents. We are going in the Gem IN November and they can't wait for the kids area! As for Cirque, we did it on the breakaway and it was cool, kids enjoyed it (they were 7 and 9) I don't need to do it again but we never saw a show like that so wanted to spend the money to see it once.

     

    Get off at coco beach and hop a cab and you can spend the day on the beach for cheap (if you want to get off the ship).

     

    There are tons of things to do on the breakaway that are included - our kids lived the ropes course
