I read my boarding booklet, and the footnote is placed directly after “$18.00” — so I’m thinking the amount for the inaugural Panama Canal sailing could be more than $18.00 — hopefully less or zero!
I have booked a shore excursion for my friends and us, through Viator/Cay Tours to see the Queen Elizabeth II botanical gardens on this Panama Canal sailing - for October 18. I’m hoping others of you on this sailing will join us.

PaisleyMello, I booked this flight myself, it was very reasonable priced. In fact, the roundtrip Dulles, Istanbul-Athens was priced lower than the round trip just to Istanbul on the same plane. I don't know if Regent contracts with Turkish Airlines.
Thank you!

Regent does have a contract with Turkish Airlines. At least I was offered their flights when trying to determine an itinerary for a cruise next year.
Regent may not have seats on all flights, however, or the airline may have sold all the seats in the restricted class for the contract. When we lost our flight due to a hurricane last year, we had to wait three days until there were flights with the correct fare category for rebooking by Regent.
Thank you! I appreciate your response

We flew Turkish Airlines Dulles to Athens for our Regent cruise. The Turkish business class was excellent, the lounge in Istanbul is great, but it is a long walk from most of the gates when changing planes. I would take the longer flight thru Istanbul on Turkish again, rather than have the chaos of most major European airports if going to Athens.
Annapolitan,
Was this flight through Regent? Do they contract with Turkish Airlines?
TIA

Be careful, as there are unscrupulous drivers who try to gouge you, as is what happened to us. Our flight was changed to an earlier time, so we felt we were at his mercy. And I know better than to hop in a car without first determining the fare. I assumed (I know, I know) that we could just get a cab outside the terminal for a flat fare, thereby not worrying about pre-booking, or rushing to our 3:00 flight. We made it just on time and the driver had the ⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🏐 to gleefully say, “I got you here on time!” Oh, well, he needed the money more than we.
Just booked a westward QM2 TA, and Cunard has a transfer from Red Hook to JFK for $80 - and I think that was for both of us, not per person, but don’t quote me on that! (Clearly, you can’t trust my judgment- or lack of it. 👻)

I received an email to Save the Date - May 18 - but have seen nothing…
so, I am also interested in the answer to OskiDunker’s question.

And can anyone recommend a good hot air brush for a reasonable $ amount, say $50? And also a smaller diameter one if those even exist. My hair is a shoulder length bob if that helps. I've looked online but the choices are so overwhelming for those of us who have never used one and most reviews are from people with really long hair. If I can find a good one it seems a good choice, especially for cruising. Would eliminate need for dryer and curling iron. Thanks in advance!
Try Revlon. I really like mine. My hair is wavy frizzy and a little longer than shoulder length.

Having to miss August 15, 2021 QM2 crossing and rebooking to August of 2022 and paying $3,000 more has made me a trifle unhappy — especially if the UK opens soon…
Were you Oski, Oskidunker?

Stoopid question:
What if I go to a bar, and my husband stays in the suite… Is only one of us getting “free” WiFi - and if he logs in first, I will still have to wait (to log in)?
TIA, mm
