  1. Perhaps it would alleviate some of the fears of the few "naysayers" in regards to the uninformed statements regarding a future bankruptcy,  If these people were to take the effort to see exactly where CCL sits financially. I  have taken this from US financial sources as of an hour ago, "How much a company is worth (CCL) is typically represented by its market capitalization, or the current stock price multiplied by the number of shares outstanding. Carnival Net Worth as of May1, 2020 is $8.9 BILLION US dollars. I'm sure that I ill be flamed as a "Hal lover", but at least I take the time to get the current facts correct before making statements of pure passion  as I note on this thread.

  2. If actually putting your "feet" on your seventh continent is an item, there is a shore excursion that you can take from your Hal ship that will give you a few actual hours on the continent. It's a long day and is not inexpensive , but unless you want to use the " Rubber Rafts" on an expedition cruise , the " cruise by" on Hal is an excellent viewing .

  3. I was on the Volendam for 28 days starting Jan 28/18 and the service and products served in the PG at breakfast were excellent. Went back for dinner 6-7 times also and was very pleased . The staff for breakfast were junior to those at dinner but were more than capable of handling the task. PG is definitely a major perk left for Neptune suites since many former perks are now available to 4 and 5 star mariners. Smooth sailing.:)

  4. I took Hal's post cruise excursion in February 2017 and although it seemed to be high in cost compared to what one could arrange for themselves, I was very happy with the services that I received from HAL. A small group we were, we had a guide with us from the time we left the ship until we returned 2 days later. In talking to a person at the hotel the first night who was on an independent tour and was a little unhappy their room overlooked the parking lot- mine had a gorgeous view of the valley leading up to and including the falls .On the return flight to Buenos Aries our guide had been informed early that morning that our flight had been cancelled but had already had tickets on another flight . The falls themselves were indeed worth the effort and cost but be prepared to go from a temperature a few days earlier in Port Stanley of 35-40 degrees F to that of 90-95 degrees F with a humidity of over 90%.Smooth sailing.:)

  5. :)You will automatically have a credit posted to your account for any Mariner discounts due from pre-cruise purchases. By purchasing on line you can get the times you want that sometimes are not available once you get on the ship.nho

  6. :)Booking as soon as Hal lists a date and agenda insures you will receive your preferences in regards to room, dining, etc and will be the best price you will get on that cruise. If you require airfare, this then allows you plenty of time to procure the best price on same. Discounts shown closer to the cruise date will not offset increases that have taken place .I personally always book through my PCC who keeps me in the loop on deals as once in ten times a deal could benefit your booking.Happy sailing.

  7. I have gone through the search forum on this item and have yet to see where Cruise Critic have any intention of fixing the problem that they have created on their new format. The bit about a "cookie problem" is a red herring, telling me that Cruise Critic has no idea how to correct the problem. If I have missed the info from Cruise Critic on how to solve this problem, please accept my apology, if not , are you not planning on correcting? :(

  8. Clarification, if "priority" entitles you to go the front of the line, do you expect that there should be three separate "priority" lines depending on the "seniority" of your priority. You would need a line for "Neptune/Pinnacle suites, one for "5 stars" and one for "4 stars". I know that if I had gone early as a "priority" tender, I would be very unhappy if you moved to the front of the line. The old saying " If it's not broken you don't need to fix it". Unless you happen to be at the very end of any given number, the longest one would have to wait is about 150 persons or the same tender you would be on as if you went to the front of the line. I have personally heard someone make a fuss about their "priority" and rather than causing a furor the staff member may incorrectly attempt to calm the person down by moving up the line. Surely this should be the "last " possible item that could lessen your cruise experience.

  9. To the OP, did you book with a TA or direct with HAL. Either way you should have received a final invoice showing either a numbered cabin or a "guarantee" and from this you would make final payment. Did the TA or Hal not ask you if you would accept an "upgrade" at no cost if available. Errors can indeed happen but the chance that your booking agent did not follow proper procedures is much more likely.

  10. I have had the following request posted for the last month and it came to me that the "Cruise Memorabilia" forum was probably being looked at mainly by collectors so I would like to resubmit here ----Just received my Platinum Medallion for over 700 sea days and would sure like to obtain the "700 lapel pin" as Hal now only presents the "medallion" and not the pin. I am still an active Hal cruiser and wear my blazer on many nights and would like to update my current "500" to a "700 pin". I would appreciate any information where I may obtain/purchase this item before my next cruise. Thanks.

  12. Wharf 22 is only a couple of blocks to the Old Port shopping, etc. Wharf 30 is a very long walk to this same area. If you Google "Quebec City Cruise Ports" you can bring it up to see it exactly where it is. We booked a hotel eons ago that was about 1/12 blocks to wharf 22, it is a now a taxi ride to wharf 30.

  13. A few weeks ago I had the same difficulty as some in that after price checking a cruise out down to room availability, the same info would come up again unless I signed out of my system. Through my PCC I was informed that by using Internet Explorer as my browser I would have this problem. I set up an alternate browser with " Google Chrome" and everything works perfectly.
