Many of us would be interested to read what @Lillabee4me has to say about the overall impressions now that she has acclimated to terra firma.

I have to say I got very spoiled on this cruise. Our butler, Arnold, was a doll. He made me a special drink and got me snockered, along with a poor couple that we befriended and we all four drank until the raspberry liquor was gone. He came to the ocean edge to yell lunch was being served and did we want a table. He made sure we were at all events we wanted to be. The dining room staff were awesome and had stinky cheese plates brought to our room for Stephanie. The cooks made Stephanie a birthday pancake breakfast and sang to her. Honestly it was very hard to come home again. I didn’t want to. I would gladly sail in an interior in Yatch Club because you have that beautiful lounge with such a view. I would pick it again in a heartbeat. I loved not fighting the crowds and you got to know your other people some. Our group was very nice, but I am a bit of a hermit on cruises and just want to chill. I work with the public so quiet time was nice and you had lots of it with more classical music instead of constant drumming music. You can get the party vibe if you go to other areas on the ship and we did do that too. I honestly think I like the Yatch Club better personally even if I didn’t have a butler, just because of the ability to have my serene area without the constant party music.

Sitting on the balcony reading, and an announcement just came on that Seaside is experiencing an engine issue and we will be delayed a few hours getting into PC tomorrow. They expect walk off to start around 9:30.

Sailing with mom is bad luck…first hurricane Irma, then a tropical storm hit home while we were away, an earthquake in Mexico while we were there on another…she’s cursed!

I cannot believe you said I am cursed! I just always manage to get extended cruises. I need another shot now.

  3. So from an infrequent cruiser experience I really am not sure if one is better than the other. I think the Havanna area definitely has a better pool setup and more shade available. However I think the Yacht Club is nicer in the fact that it is not open at all to the general public and keeps it much quieter in the pool area all day and the bar area. I do love the dining area and the food is very good and the music is nice toned down dining music. I have noticed MSC has areas that you can go to and get away from the pulsating constant music where Carnival not so much. I realize that there are extras in the Yatch Club that are not available on Carnival, but overall I would sail either one. MSC’s drink package is better though, no 5 minute wait between drinks, so if you and a friend want to do shots and a drink you can order and get both at the same time. I also like it’s unlimited, not that I would ever reach the 15. Honestly overall they are both great options and I would do either one, but if you do like quieter more “upscale” try MSC in the Yatch Club.

I think it would be very 'neighborly' of her to maybe 'pop in here' and give us her keen observations of the cruise from her obvious spunk and determination.

Mom here. Pirate is NEVER a morning person. I figure we don’t get much sleep anyways the night before, so why not. The hardest part will be feeding the six cats, five Rottweilers and putting them outside and feeding the five horses before we go. I already bought my neighbors a bottle of wine and Buffalo Trace to say I’m sorry if the dogs bark, so they are all set.

  5. We had the deck 5 cabin that butted right up to the club. I totally loved it. I could hang out in my private area or just walk thru the little gate on my deck to the pool or hot tub. Loved the swing chair on our patio. Yes you heard the club, but my daughter had earplugs and I did not. Just got used to it. The noise only lasted a bit. Most of the time your out and about. Very quiet in the mornings.
