  1. Can someone please tell me where to make/change dinning reservations, when we board, on the Escape?

    Thank you

There is a booking service at the dining reservation counter onboard the Norwegian Escape, or you may use the touch screens throughout the ship.

There is a Latitude Membership Line that can assist in booking reservations.

Another option is the Norwegian Iconcierge App which allows u to make changes on your phone.

  2. My recent trip on Norwegian Jade was really good, particularly with dining reservations. We had selected the '3 times speciality dining' under 'free at sea'. We asked the NCL consultant to assist with advance reservations for us. When we were on board, we made the Changes at the dining reservation counter without any problem. The staff were very helpful.

  3. Hi, So far when I sailed on Norwegian cruise ship, I did not find any problem making dining reservation at specialty restaurants on board. So pls don't worry about it.

The "sailaway" category guests do not have the "free specialty dining" offer, therefore I think somehow it does strike certain balance on board which there will not be overflow of guests at one location over another one. Some guests may not select the "free specialty dining" at seas also.

    Enjoy your trip!

  4. Hi, $50 shore credit per port means at every port that you are taking a shore excursion, you are given the $50 shore credit. In my recent booking, I have learned something. If you are booking the shore excursions directly online via your NCL account, that $50 shore credit will become onboard credit. This will benefit those who are going to spend on board to use. However if you book the shore excursion directly via NCL representative, you will pay the discounted amount instead of having it as onboard credit.

So far I find it comfortable to deal with NCL representatives directly as they are always willing to help. If you would like to change any of the "free @ seas" promo, you may contact them directly to seek for advice. You may call them or email to them.

  5. If you are keen to book a Norwegian Joy's voyage, you may access to http://goncl.com, which is NCL's official website in China. However this site is all in Chinese language. In this site, the search is clear and it will advise you to contact NCL's authorised agent to sell Norwegian Joy's packages, which can be found at: http://tuniu.com

It is a very popular travel site where you are able to find all cruises from China and around the world, something like Aliexpress, where you can select the cruise package you are keen with and add to the cart. You don't have to pay first until you have decided.

On NCL's main website, Joy's itineraries are limited, as many are handled by the agent in China.

Hope the above info may be of help to you.

  6. I understand you do not get the regular amenities with the sailaway prices but do you get the extra points toward your level and will you still be eligible to bid on upgrades?

Hi, I recently sailed on Jewel with "Sail Away Balcony", which means without the Free at Sea Offers. The cabin still provided the usual amenities and we had a great time.

Upon completion of my cruise trip with them, the Lattitude points were added in my account. Very sure of this.

Also fyi, I initially booked the "Sail Away Oceanview" cabin and later decided to change to "Sail Away Balcony" when the price dropped and lower than "Sail Away Oceanview". It was by chance as I had the habit of checking the rate.

As for bidding, it's really based on luck if you decide last minute to bid for higher category cabin.

  7. I had booked on Norwegian Jewel with Sail-away Oceanview. Was assigned a porthole Oceanview cabin. About 2 months later I got to know the rate of Sail-away Balcony was lower by $100 per cabin as compared to my original booking on Sail-away Oceanview. So I wrote in to ask if possible to change to Sail-away Balcony? The personnel was prompt and helped me to get a Balcony cabin. When I logged into my account summary, it showed the reduction of total cruise fare by $100 per cabin. Within days I was given the Balcony cabin number. I would consider this as a reduction of $100 in fare and received a free upgrade. It's cool!
