I carried 8 bottles (two 4-packs) through Port Canaveral and on to the Mardi Gras on 9/24/22 zipped up in my carry- on bag and not a single word was said, nobody even opened my bag.  This has been my experience every time I do it.  I will be carrying the little bottles on again on 10/15 through Miami and onto the Horizon.  I usually sail with my husband but occasionally go solo.  I've decided that the next time I go solo I'm still going to carry on wine for 2 because they never, ever open my bag or question why I have quantity for two in one bag.

This is the most recent thread mentioning this.

  2. I searched again and there are posts from November on these boards that Port Canaveral security allowed the 4 pack of mini bottles through without any questions. It was also mentioned that other ports allowed them as well and it seemed from comments that security was more focused on the total milliliters being under 750 rather than the number of bottles.

I was curious if anyone else had any experience.

  3. Be very, very careful!!! I purchased a $500 Carnival gift card with the new AARP gift card program, The Gift Card Shop, they charged my credit card $1,000.  I called the gift card company no live person so I left a message to cancel the entire order.  I don’t want to do business with a company that does this.  I then called AARP and my bank to dispute, AARP was very shocked and took all the info to escalate.  No one from the Gift Card Shop contacted me but they refunded the $1,000 today.

  4. Grrr, no discount on new AARP rewards gift card site, fine print says discount at checkout, no discount was given, I was charged the full $500.  Took almost 25 min to get the site to work properly.  I won’t use this again, at least I’ll get my cash back on my credit card.

  5. This was my first cruise and the Pride is a tired ship in need of updating. While this sounds negative, I had a great trip, we can’t control the weather. Just roll with the flow and make lemonade out of lemons. The biggest negative was the delayed embarkation and standing in the sub freezing temps. The biggest frustration our party of 7 had was we never received our Meet and Mingle invitations. I inquired about it Tuesday with guest services and didn’t learn until Thursday that it has been held Tuesday afternoon. Guest services didn’t seem to care about it, but after I asked they did give all 7 of us drink coupons.

  6. This is a weird question with all the food on the ship. Can I bring prepackaged cheese sticks with me on embarkation to keep in the fridge in the cabin? My first thought was yes, it's prepackaged ready to eat. Thanks for any help!!

  7. I have read and re-read all the items about wine, but.....I have one that I haven't seen. We have a port day in Port Canaveral, does that mean the two of us can each get a bottle and bring on board to drink in our cabins? Or is this only from the originating port? From what I've read, I've interpreted that it's ok if you are in a US port, but it will be taken if in a foreign port. Can anyone elaborate on this? Thanks for all the info on CC!
