  1. Am looking at options. The only real operator I found was thru Shore Excursions they have something they call Costa Maya Guided 2 Reef Boat Snorkel Excursion. Has anyone done that? I'm not really into just hanging out at the beach but like to snorkel if water is pretty clear. Any good ideas?

  2. I will be visiting Edinburgh on a Princess cruise this summer. Am thinking to take a cab up to the castle and spend several hours there then walk back down the hill thru the old town area stopping at a few sites/pubs along the way.

Another option would be to go on a HOHO bus. What do you recommend? Are there any particularly interesting places we should be sure not to miss?

  3. Good I now have a firm but flexible plan. Once we get to Heathrow hotel If we have time and feel up to it will call Windsor cab to go to Castle and back.

The next day we will take shuttle that stops at Stonehenge on the way to cruise ship. That should work fine and not be overly expensive and provides flexibility.

Thanks to all that contributed info!

  4. We are scheduled to arrive into Heathrow at 12:20 PM the day before our cruise leaves. We are coming in on a nonstop flight from Los Angeles. Would we have time and would it make sense to rent a car and drive to Windsor Castle that afternoon? On the next day we would then go to Stonehenge then drop car off at the Southampton Airport and take a cab to cruise ship. We’d stay the night in Windsor or on the way to Stonehenge. Not sure about tine needed to get through all steps needed to get to a point we can pick up the car. Sure to feel rummy after the flight but hate to go to bed till at least 8pm. Does this make sense or would just going to a Heathrow hotel and go to Stonehenge the next day on a shuttle? I’ve never driven in England so that also a bit of a concern. Thanks for your thought?

  5. I am taking a princess cruise and am finding it is quite costly and a little awkward to get to the Southampton cruise port. One option I'm considering is going via Southampton Cruise Ship Shared Transfer Buses. They offer one direct trip and one that stops at Stonehenge on the way. Have any of you used them and what did you think. I found their site at London Toolkit site. Thanks for your help.

  6. Am going on a cruise next month on Celebrity that stops here. I've done some reading and can't vome up with a good idea on what to do. We have seen many great waterfalls before so not that keen on doing another, it sounds like the snorkeling is not so good (We are doing that at Cozumel and Grand Cayman)

. We're not hang out at the beach all day people unless snorkeling is available. We don't like zip lines and my wife is not up to tubing. Is there a cooking school, great bar, real interesting hike etc. Am open to ideas. The idea of walking around town and shopping might be ok if a great bar resteraunt was at the end.
