  1. We have done 3 of those last minute $50.00 interior cabins.  The first one was for an upper/lower guarantee but once assigned it was regular interior room.

They do go fast, but keep checking, they always come back more than once. We have been lucky to always end up with an interior guarantee, but would take the upper/lower if thats all we could get.

They're actually pretty hard to find.  You have to be logged in and I always have trouble finding the gift cards, although I eventually do.  Sorry to not be of more help.  But the main thing is you need to be logged in.

Once you are logged in, they are under the AARP Rewards tab.  Then under Browse rewards, go to Redeem, All rewards, scroll and you will see them

I am thinking of booking cabin 3215 on Carnival Vista.  Could someone who has stayed on deck 3, or near that cabin,  share with me their thoughts on noise level?  Thanks!!

just got off Vista on Saturday.  We were in 3229 obstructed ocean view.  Great location, short hallway and no noise at all

How were you able to put a cruise on hold with a casino offer?    When I look at my casino offers, it doesn't give the option to hold it, only payment in full.

This screen is right after you pick your room.  I don't know if it works with casino offers as I have never had one!  2061329807_ScreenShot2021-09-01at11_44_28AM.thumb.png.6d253981d0e6a924abc10b8ba7742e44.png

Why not put the cruise on hold for the 3-4 days it allows on August 31st?

Then when the September offer shows up you can see if it's a better deal.

BTW I have no idea if that would work but I am thinking of doing the same thing as I have a few drinks everywhere deals expiring August 31st and want to see what shows up September 1st.

I put a cruise on hold at the end of June or July because of the great obc deal.  It held the obc and I booked it the next month.

.. or so I read. Prices crashing everywhere but my vista roll call is still bursting with friends of friends. Paid as much as pre covid prices but wasnt worth trying to change to a cheaper date. Very huge active roll call might be how john said he will sail with us, but could be luck of the draw. I've sailed with him before on magic when it was new out of Galveston.

Some have worried if we will cruise. If john is making plans to join us, this cruise should be a go. Lots of us have had a lot of cancellations to arrive here. Originally I was booked rcl april 2020 and paid for lighthouse parking. Moved parking to January 2021, cancelled. Moved parking to sept 2021 to carnival vista .. skipping over april 2021 just to be really safe. Lol. Turned out cut it closer than I thought but so far it's a go. .. and John joining us.

    Fingers crossed.

    On this cruise as well!

Thank you everyone for your help!

I could not find a picture or a review of that cabin anywhere.  Not any pictures really of a lifeboat obstructed view.  Hopefully we will be able to see water.

thanks again, so ready to cruise!!!! :)

imkaz. It really matters not. You will be on an incredible ship, and I'm sure you will totally be blown away with your view that you have. If this is your first sailing,  I'd say enjoy the view! It's totally worth it! Happy sailing!

Thanks!  You are correct, any view out a cruise ship window is the best view! It's not about the room, its about the cruise! This will be cruise #5, first time on Vista.

  8. We just returned on Feb 3rd from a one week cruise to Key West, Freeport and Nassau. We've been on over 20 cruises with various lines, and have sailed Carnival about 6 of those. This was, by far, the best Carnival cruise we have taken. We were in an outside cabin, 1379, that we booked at the last minute. The cabin was in great shape, had a large amount of closet, drawers, and storage bins. The cabin had a great mattress, always fresh linens, fluffy towels, and the cabin, overall, it was in excellent shape. The crew was constantly cleaning the public areas, railings, public bathrooms etc. and there was Purex accessible all over the ship. Hot water was an acceptable temp, and we never experienced drain back-up or odors, although I recommend bringing bathroom spray. Suggestions: if you do not have bathrobes in the closets when you arrive, ask your cabin steward. They are free to use, but, unless you are in a suite, they may not already be there. Pick up a few magnetized cups/notepad holders, the kind kids apply to their locker doors, to place your glasses/sunglasses, pens etc on the metal walls, especially by the bed. Magnets, and magnetized clips are also a god-send. Bring a clock to hang off the wall hooks, as there are none in the cabin and you would have to rely on your phone or watch. Our CD said that Carnival has decided to cease printing the daily Fun Times, and passengers would only have their APP to rely on, and was meeting on an implementation date, so I would certainly plan to use my phone, even if you want to only set it operative in the airplane mode...just please, don't use it walking the decks, as we saw people bumping each other and some falling down as their eyes were focused on their phones. Easy enough to fall over the low rails. They sell various options for phone use starting at $5. The food was EXCELLENT in main dining room, Lido buffet, Guys Burgers and the Pizza. We didn't feel we needed to use the $$$ dining experiences. They even prepared tasting steaks/prime rib, to perfection, in the main dining room. We were delightfully surprised. This was some of the best food we have had at sea in years!!! The TV has about six Carnival channels, CNN, cartoons, a few foreign channels, and one with old movies. The newer movies you will only see on the outside deck at night, so, especially if you are bringing kids, you may want to download some movies before you go, or bring along dvds. Drinks are pricey and with a 20% tip, so if you have an addiction to a particular soft drink, bring a few 12 packs (cans only). Best way to get from AFT to Forward is via passenger decks 1 (Riviera) or deck 2 (Main) where you can straight line through, then take the stairs/elevators, otherwise you may find the deck stops half-way because of a restaurant/theater etc, and you will get all messed up.

    You will love this ship...enjoy!!!

We are doing this exact cruise on April 21st, thank you for all the info! This will be my first Carnival Cruise....so excited!!!
