Wife, my 6 yr old daughter and I went on Oasis right after your cruise (2/25 to 3/4) to eastern Caribbean. We're from Albany and loved Oasis also. Glad to hear you had a great trip also!

we were on oasis deck 14. could hear music from the pools during the day on the balcony, but crickets at night. only other sounds i heard were kids being transported from kids center to windjammer at 5pm and 7pm every night.

Just got back from Oasis of the Seas out of port canaveral. Wife, daughter (almost 7 yrs old) and I had a great time.
Considering going on Freedom. What is the difference between the two ships? Only ones I can research are smaller, no Central Park, no Boardwalk (carousel, aqua theater), no ziplining on Freedom. Does it feel more/less crowded than Oasis?
Any other differences?

just got back from oasis. $6 minimum tables, $10 minimum tables. lots of them, they pay out 6:5 for BJ. Lucky ladies side bet (terrible odds) from $1 to $25.
Anything over $15 tables ($25, $50, $100 minimum) had BJ pay 3:2. Much better and less novices playing the $15+ tables. Gentleman from Colorado and I both won over $2,000 at a $15 minimum table with 8 deck shoe. No automatic shuffler, hand shuffling so it was easy to ace track. Each of us nodded to each other and could tell he was counting cards, just like me.

just got back from Oasis with a 6 year old, and oasis does not have a water slide. my daughter was bummed out about that. but they do have a great waterslide at Labadee, if you kids are interested. My kid loved it and the aqua park. Labadee is the absolute best port

my muster station was in Studio B (The ice skating rink) on deck 4. unfortunately, our stateroom was on deck 14. 9 flights up afterwards.

just got off oasis yesterday (sunday 3/4/18). We did self assist, which means we took off our own bags off the ship. Got in line by the Champagne Bar at 6:15am, line started moving at around 6:40am, got off the ship at 7am sharp. There was a disney cruise and a carnival ship that had docked right about the same time. We got to MCO airport via taxi at 7:45am, no traffic to speak of. MCO airport at 7:45am was a nightmare, TSA line was at least 90 minutes. Luckily I have Amex platinum and got free Even More Speed with Jetblue. So only had to wait 20 minutes

My wife and I are going on Oasis of the Seas and we have an option to prepay gratuities before the sail date. We are NOT going to main dining room at all and no specialty dining either. My wife wants to do Windjammer buffet for dinner. (My wife wants what she wants!)
Should we prepay gratuities?
Sailing during hurricane season....good idea?

Found a cruise leaving from San Juan PR, going south to Aruba/curacao, st kitts in September 2018 for $1300 for the three of us, half of what we just paid on our cruise in February. It's the height/middle of hurricane season at that point. How does Royal Caribbean deal with hurricanes?
