  1. We (myself, wife and 2 DDs) will be on the Dawn in 12 days celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.  😁

This is our first cruise in 10 years and I am definitely excited!  It's a 4-day cruise from Miami to Costa Maya.

Looking forward to reading your review. Also, suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

  2. Hi,

Family of four non-drinkers will be sailing on the Dawn in 2 weeks.

Plan to order drinks like Shirley Temples, daiquiris and other drinks minus the alcohol.

Does anyone have an idea of the cost of their "virgin" drinks?  Possible price list exist somewhere?

I'd like to believe the lack of alcohol would result in a much smaller price per beverage.

    Am I correct?

  3. Hi,

Family will be sailing on the Dawn next month (April 2019). Can anyone tell me if the Dawn offers complimentary lemonade or tea during the day?

What about during mealtimes?  We are just looking for an option other than purchasing soda packages for our two DDs.

    Thanks,

  4. We (family of 4) are thinking of taking Carnival Pride for Spring Break 2019. We live 40 mins away but never sailed from Baltimore in the Spring. However, this would be an opportunity to avoid airline and hotel fees if we sail from this port but we're not sure of what to expect when sailing from a cold weather port. :)

I know the Pride has a retractable roof but when will the water slides be available?

Will they be closed for the first 2 days as weather may be a little chilly?

  5. Hi,

Family is considering our first balcony cabin :D. We will be sailing on the Horizon and are trying to decide between a cove balcony and a regular balcony. Can anyone tell me if the cove balconies always get wet from the ocean spray? We would hate to be unable to use our balcony during periods of rough seas. Are there any pros/cons we should consider?

If we choose cove balcony, which is best area to select to keep balcony dry?

If we choose a regular balcony, which area is quietest?

Appreciate any help you can offer..

    Thanks

  6. Jim,

Thanks so much for your detailed review! Really enjoyed the room tours but you have left us with a dilemma. Family of four is scheduling a cruise on the Horizon, sister ship to the Vista. My original idea was to book our first balcony stateroom, maybe even a cove balcony. But now we hare thinking about selecting a Havana interior for the exclusivity of the pools and hot tubs. Based on your experiences, which would you choose: Havana interior or balcony for family of 4 (2 teens)? Price not a problem because differences are about $150.....
