  1. Over the Summer this ship has had a weekly itinerary mainly to the Fjords. Be interesting to hear accounts from any members currently on this cruise if they are able to which is on it’s travels for 2 weeks. I understand many of the crew are suffering with covid which will impact on numbers serving guests. Hearing recently that Ventura made guests put masks on after day 8 of a two week cruise because of higher numbers of covid, will the same happen on Iona on it’s first two week cruise for some time?
  2. Yes we will do that thanks. Just trying to gauge what they may say before we do any contacting.
  3. It’s on P&O. It was the same price person for 1 in a cabin, hence a reason why we booked all 3. The price of the sailing now looks quite similar to when we booked, though the obc has reduced by £200.
  4. I won’t go into the reasons, but 3 of us have booked individual inside cabins and received a few hundred pounds obc each, and that offer has now significantly reduced. Since the booking where the final payments have been made, two additional family members wish to come on the cruise with us. Of the 3 people already booked, can two of these share a cabin releasing 1 of the rooms for the two additional family members to share? If allowed, there’s the issue of price paid, would they pay the same as us or the latest price offered, and how would the obc treated also? This is to gauge what the cruise firms reaction may be. The reason for this message is that there appears to be a problem with the cruise line’s booking on line site which says no rooms are available, though a couple of days ago there were at least a hundred available, and you can still see rooms available on other online booking firms (but would rather book through the cruise line itself). In all with these changes, the cruise line would receive an extra £3,000 with the two additional guests sailing, plus potentially another £1,000 to £2,000 on additional expenditure from them. Thank you.
  5. We have just booked a cruise for October this year. Does anyone know when we might hear what time we can board, or at least choose a time? Thank you.
  6. Is there a way of finding out which lines may be able to cruise to the bay after 2024? I have a preference with Celebrity. Thanks.
  7. Having been told Glacier Bay is a must on an Alaskan cruise. If available, could someone please provide a list of the cruise lines able to access the bay next year as I understand only two ships are allowed in a day. We are thinking of going to the area next August for my daughter’s 30th birthday, but need to look closely at what each line has to offer. Ideally, a demographic of a ship for the younger adult would be suffice. Thank you.
  8. Wow, thanks very much for your replies. With so much confirmation, I will definitely have a conversation with Celebrity first before cancelling the Med cruise.
  9. Thank you all with your suggestions and advice. Yes, if I can get through, a call to them may be the best route before I have a second cruise on their books.
  10. Hi, A while ago we booked a Med cruise in May 23 and paid £450 deposit (x3 people). Since then, we have seen a Baltic sea cruise we would prefer, but it’s in the same month and very close to the Med cruise. What are our chances, or could any advice be given how not to lose the Med cruise deposit if we cancel it? Could the company switch this to credit for the Baltic cruise? Thanks
