NO I think they need to rethink the drink pkg. Been on 3 cruises and seen brawls on all 3. Its just ridiculous!
I’ve been on 11 cruises across 3 lines and never seen one (thankfully). [emoji848]
Even if all booze is ala carte, people who want to get drunk and rowdy will still do just that.

On my last cruise, the $50 credit showed up on my cruise tab as OB. the day after each excursion.

It took 4 cruises over 3 years to get to Platinum: 14 points, 21 points, 14 points, and 27 points respectively. Two had double points, two had triple points.

We live in the greater Boston area and have done this cruise several times and enjoyed it every time , The problem is for what ever reason it has become very expensive.
It's crazy how much the price has gone up over the years on this cruise. I last sailed the Dawn to Bermuda 6 years ago and I'm paying 80% more now for the same cabin. I don't think cruise demand in Boston has gone up that much!? Oh well.

We just did this on our Gem cruise last week. The pier is definitely doable on foot from the ferry terminal in about 10 minutes! There is a sidewalk that makes it a relatively easy task with rolling luggage. We are a family of 4 and our DD's (8 & 5) had no major issues each pulling their luggage.

My first cruise was on Celebrity Millennium back in March 2005. At the time, I needed to get away to somewhere warm with just a week's notice and I ended up trying a cruise. Wow! I found that I really enjoyed being out on the ocean, away from the craziness of every day life.
Ten months later (Jan 2006) I took my girlfriend on her first cruise on RCCL's Voyager and I was elated to see that she loved cruising as much as I did! I was super happy that we didn't have to break up over it ;)
Fast forward to today and we've enjoyed 4 more cruises together including our honeymoon cruise and have spread the joy of cruising to our oldest daughter who has 3 cruises to her credit @ 3 years old. We've got another future cruise fanatic who will be going on her first cruise in January '13 a month before her first birthday.
We are what you might call - a cruising family! :D

Hi outerspaceguy,
On the last line of my post I said I was kidding about trash and leftover food being dumped at sea...
I'm pretty sure the trash gets incinerated on-board (only when the ship is far away from land).Am I wrong?

Just wondering what happens if you don't spend your OBC?
It gets tossed overboard along with all the trash and leftover food during the next sailing.
(Ok.... I'm kidding.. about all of that...... You get the leftover OBC put back on your credit card)

Hi Suzanne,
Was your last X cruise back in November '09? When we were on Summit this past January, we did have the carafe of drinking water and the ice bucket - as we've experienced every time we've cruised on X.

Unfortunately Celebrity has discontinued the carafe of drinking water. On out last cruise, not knowing that they did not provide drinking water in room, we did not bring any kind of water bottle or pitcher. So we opened one water bottle and then kept refilling it from the tap.
To the OP: There is no prohibition from bringing your own water nor is there any limit on luggage, so I don't see why, if it works for you, you couldn't bring your own. The ships water doesn't bother me, but maybe that's because I am a big salt hound to begin with so I don't get any additional bloat.
OBC $50 per shore excursion please help clarify!

I can vouch that the $50 credit per day was posted as OBC once we had taken each excursion. Whether I get the discount up-front when booking or afterwards as OBC, doesn’t matter as it nets out the same.
