  1. I currently have an ocean view balcony room on deck 13  (cabin 13572) for my Alaskan Cruise in July on Ovation of the Seas. We are planning on spending a significant amount of time on our balcony to enjoy the scenery and to be more secluded from the crowds that will be on the open decks. I just read that most of the balconies on deck 13 have poles/posts that connect to the bridge and ultimately end up obstructing views. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am considering changing decks and would like to hear from others that have had a balcony on deck 13 and if they felt these beams/poles/posts were truly an obstruction or could be could be an obstruction if on an Alaskan cruise where you really want to experience all that nature has to offer.

What floor and stateroom cabin did you have and/or recommendations that might help me with a new cabin selection should I decide to make a change. I don't mind paying for category upgrade if it means better views and more balcony space.

  3. Not sure which to reserve. Would like to hear opinions on which would give us a bigger bang for our buck. Booking through Royal Caribbean- Trolley Roger is 1 hour open air trolley for $24.99; the Cayman Highlights tour is a motor coach for 2.5 hours $45.99. Can anyone offer advise based on personal experience from either tour?

  5. I decided to go ahead and pre-pay for parking at the cruise terminal parking. Earliest check in I could get is 12:30 so I’m hoping traffic won’t be too bad. I’ll try to remember to update our experience when we get back. We set sail April 7 [emoji4]

I'm in the same situation (check in at 12:30). I've considered terminal parking, but I read in a different thread that you can park in the city garage for $7. I was just curious about your parking experience.

We are driving from Kansas City and plan on arriving at the port around 10:00. If anyone else can give me information about parking and how to get from garage to pier I'd be very grateful.
