  1. Where did you order them from? I have been looking for things with magnets on them. Birthday, Anniversary or any other. We got some things that hung from the metal ceiling when someone tossed them in the trash on one of our B2B's cruises. Never could find where they got them. I tried Pinintrest with no luck.

Etsy has a lot of cute things for cruise door decor.

  2. Hi--We are a party of 11 adults and 2 small children going to sea on the OASIS June 10th 7-day Eastern sailing. Two of our six staterooms are Owners Suites--no Royal Genie, but maybe some concierge help--not sure.

First night is 28th birthday of the mom of the 2 small children. I am wracking my brain for a good celebration that includes the kids--birthday mom wants to include them. So far, we have 150 Central Park at 6 pm, but I am not sure this upscale restaurant is the best idea.

I am looking for alternative ideas for people who have planned good celebrations, especially first cruise night celebrations, that have included children. I have been thinking about this for weeks--I want this to be the right kick-off for our large group cruise.

What did you end up doing and how did it go. I am taking my mother on a cruise for her 70th birthday and we sail next month. I booked an Owners Suite for my cabin and a balcony cabin for her.... I thought about having a birthday of sorts at the dining table area in our suite. I figured I'd ask the concierge if I can have a cake brought to our cabin one evening to celebrate. But, I'm anxious to hear what you did and maybe follow your idea.

  3. We're staying at the Waldorf Astoria in the Disney area of Orlando so an Uber XL (which most likely won't fit all 6 of us with our luggage) is about $50 each way to the airport to take a shuttle. I am California based but flying into Orlando. The limo fits 10 people plus luggage so I think we'll have plenty of room if all the luggage doesn't fit in the trunk! I think we're going with the limo, it will be a great fun start to the bachelorette party and we'll be keeping it a surprise for the bride! Thank you all for your input.

What limo service did you end up going with? I'm preparing to book a limo for MCO to Cocoa Beach precruise and trying to decide. Thank you.

  4. I have booked four cabins.... three are ocean view balcony and one is an owners suite. The owners suite is in my name; the balcony’s are in family members names since I bought them as gifts for family. Other than myself, my family members are all either gold level or first time cruisers. I know the boarding lounge has an area for suites, for gold and for first time cruisers and they board the ship by area. When we checkin will we all be divided into different areas or will my family be permitted to join me in the suites boarding area, or the first timers be able to join the gold cruisers?

  5. How about the Melia? It’s not AI but significantly cheaper, gorgeous beach. Daiquiri Shack is across the street.

I'm not familiar with that one at all. I'll have to check it out. Thank you. AI is nice but not necessary; most importantly to me is a place that is nice and that I'd still have time to get to and enjoy before having to rush back to the ship. I really dislike the amount of time we have in port that day.

  6. I'll be in Nassau on Oct 15, 2018 and our ship is only in port from 8am-3pm (of course I'll want to be back on ship around 2pm-2:15pm). I'm interested in doing a resort day pass. In your opinions is the Hilton Colonial my best option or would I have time to make it worthwhile and enjoy Sandals or Breezes or one of the others that are on a more scenic beach? I'm not concerned about cost. I mostly want to have time to sit back, relax and not feel rushed. There aren't any children in our group to be concerned about either.

  7. Thank you so much for your review and pictures. It's exactly what I'm looking for in my planning for my cruise in a couple of weeks! I also would love to stop at the store that has the sea glass jewelry. Do you remember the name? Thank you

Oh I wish I remembered the name. It was at the port and just a little shop that specializes in local items.

  8. Thanks for your review!! I was reading another one that was posted back in 2014, and there were no restrooms, so I was glad to see there are facilities there now. Also, I see they have chairs to rent now as well. Is food/drink A La Carte, or do they have a package you can buy for unlimited or discount drinks/food? Someone also mention a Gourmet Gallery at they port, where you could buy sandwiches and drinks, then take it to Sapphire, as they don;t mind if you bring your own food and drink. Did you have any experience with that or see the Gourmet Gallery?

The food grill was priced like a regular menu. Very good hamburger I might add. Yes, it's just like any other public beach in that you could easily bring a picnic in. The bathrooms and facilities were all nice.

  9. We ended up there that day too, but as a result of a bad taxi driver. We told them multiple times we wanted to go to Coki Beach. The driver even announced a stop for Coki, but never stopped. When he stopped at Sapphire we ended up going to the beach there b/c I didn't feel comfortable with possibly get stuck at Coki with DD (6) after the taxi didn't stop there.

We found the scenery to be beautiful as well, but were disappointed with how rocky the shore was and how far out you had to go for decent snorkeling. Sandy beaches and shallow water snorkeling were my reasons for choosing Coki initially.

The staff at Sapphire was nice and the changing areas were clean.

I didn't notice the rocky shore in the area we were in. We were to the left (as you look out toward the water). We did swim out to get to the coral to see the most fish but we didn't have a child with us so I can see how that'd be hard. We had snorkeling life vest with us too.
