Be prepared to open up some socks LOL
Same itinerary every week - I would have thought they would have tried to work some Cococay itineraries in there by maybe alternating between and 6 and 8 day itineraries with some 7s thrown in the mix
Yeah a bit of a bummer.
Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic Allure is coming to Galveston along with a shiny new terminal. I just was really hoping we'd get some CocoCay itineraries.

So, is it likely today will be the day the rest of the Caribbean itineraries go on sale?
I feel like a kid on Christmas, anxiously waiting to see Allure’s Galveston itineraries.
Same here.. *refreshes browser again*

They installed one on Majesty last dry dock. I'm thinking some of the Voyager class ships (maybe Adventure?) might have one too.
Enchantment has one, no doubt most likely installed on the famous "stretch" dry dock.

Our experience has been that the bartenders will make any drink we want, even if it's not on the menu, as long as they have the ingredients.
Yep. Went to the bar and asked if he could make me a Banana Monkey (what they call it at a resort in Playa del Carmen) and he got a confused smile on his face. I said "basically it's a Mudslide with banana" and he said "sure I'll give it a whirl!". Wasn't quite the same with banana liqueur instead of fresh banana, but it did the job.

Just off Vision.. Sunday sea day pool was closed at 8:15 ish AM because a mother [who was warned and asked to remove her young toddler the day before] let him back in and viola. Didn't re-open til almost 1 pm after they did the full drain and scrub treatment.
Captain Marek came out when he heard what was going on and was pretty visibly upset.

I finished off the daily value of the DX package in one sitting by the pool while watching my son swim, most likely on more than one day. LOL
Def worth the price considering we also had wine with dinner and at the show later, etc.

Just off the Vision yesterday (great cruise and crew!) and we were looking at possibly booking Enchantment for another 4 or 5 nighter in the near future out of Galveston. If anyone is interested in the "why" of the ship shuffle, the answer we got from more than a few people was essentially Cuba demand. Enchantment is being used to cover for ships being used for Cuba sailings (which are high demand and making RCI more money).
So Galveston waits another year to get our summertime (and thus year-round) 4/5 night sailings. Incredibly bummed for those that had their reservations cancelled.

Thanks to LonestarV on this thread.
You're welcome!

Glad I'm not the only one underwhelmed with early access pricing. Wait and see mode for us. :(

Thanks for posting
You're welcome! Now to talk the family into booking one tomorrow. :p

So how do C&A members find the rates, please? I signed in this morning and got only up thru' April 2019, as always. Wanting LB for May 2019.
They aren't open for C&A until tomorrow (the 14th).. General public the 15th.

Is it ONLY Freedom now? There used to be two ships out of San Juan - typically Adventure and a Radiance Class. Are they intending to replace BOTH ships with the single, larger ship? No more Radiance ship out of Puerto Rico?
Not sure - the 4/5 nighters are supposed to be out next week so stay tuned?
-
When will the 7-day from San Juan be announced? Anyone know?
Freedom is sailing from San Juan [check above link]

Anyone have any insight on when 2019 Alaska itineraries will be posted?
From the press release:

So... the rule applies to spouses as well? When dd honeymooned on Freedom her husband immediately became diamond even though he had never previously cruised. -
When we cruise we like being in an aft cabin. We book the first day itineraries come out so we can reserve these afts and Royal gets to hold my deposit for 12 to 19 months (usually $900 on each).
I book a backup cruise for these longer TransAtlantic cruises as Royal has a bad habit of cancelling these types of cruises for many reasons. If you don't have a backup......the chances of you getting an aft on one of the other TransAtlantics is close to zero.
I've been burned three times and some others on this forum many times.
Aha, thanks so much for the explanation. For some reason I was thinking you were booking backup cabins on the same cruise. :o

The news just released is for all the ship repositionings, etc starting in May 2019.
Bookings for 7 day Caribbean itineraries starts in a few days! I believe Sunday for C&A and Monday for general public.
-
I'm new here, so I'm not seeing the benefit/reason for the placeholder/backup reservations?
-
I had all my forms filled out ahead of time, and I do feel that saves a ton of time.
Is this in reference to the docs you can digitally sign online ahead of time, or some other forms? I'm all for saving time during embarkation so do tell please! :)

Bravo, thanks for the review! Will be on VotS in a few weeks and will probably try one of the places you mentioned in Cozumel. Although we DO have the drink package so maybe stay onboard and get sloshed? Decisions, decisions.

Great review.. like your writing style! As TX cruisers ourselves looking to ramp up our frequency, we look forward to getting to know Liberty much better these next few years :)

Sadly still no oasis class in Galveston.
Looking forward to that day myself.
If we keep packing the Liberty and Vision/Enchantment they'll have no choice but to send more/larger ships! :)

Alaska is up.
Late May porthole view Veranda on Edge is about the same or less than balcony on RC.
This would be our first Celebrity cruise, would be interested in anyone's thoughts on the porthole view Verandas.
