  1. on our Marvel cruise they had a meet and greet,(like the Princess meet and greet) you needed a ticket. It was Spiderman, Black Panther, Ironman, Groot. they also had other character meets, like they do with the Disney characters with Captain America, Black widow, Gamora, Quill, Loki etc

  2. We have a destination wedding in January in Tampa. We have never cruised anything but Disney. Disney doesn't cruise out of Tampa, so we are trying a different line. 6 day, Western Caribbean, 2 adults 1 Child $1500 (that includes gratuity). Guess we will see if Disney prices are worth it or not.

  3. I know Coke products, coffee and hot chocolate are available at the beverage station on Deck 9 on the Wonder. I recently have given up pop (soda). Does anyone know if they have hot tea? And if so can I get a pitcher from my attendant and fill it with hot water and make my own iced tea? TIA

  4. We were skeptical about being seated with another family also, but like others have said, Disney, somehow, matches pretty well.  We were seated with a family that had a son the same age as ours, and they hung out the whole cruise together, at the club, at the pool on Castaway Cay. The most amazing part about the pairing is that the other parents work with my brother in law. And we hung out with them too. It’s a small world after all.

Oh Wow! I didn't know about this. Is there anywhere that shows this in writing? I think just because of this, I will get the photo package now and see if we like it.

from Disney site under terms and conditions https://app.ourcruisephotos.com/terms-and-conditions

    Purchasing digital photos pre cruise

Your Digital photo package will contain photos that include at least one member of the purchasing stateroom. Families traveling in more than one stateroom where the occupants are the children 21 and under of the purchasing stateroom can be linked however guests must notify to one of the photo team once onboard. Orders will be ready and waiting for use on the photo kiosks when the cruise starts. Pre cruise purchases can be cancelled onboard before the end of cruise in the event that the purchase is no longer required. The product can only be refunded as long as downloaded onboard and/or you have picked up the CD/USB drive containing the images.

  6. but there's no need to bring a soda from the beverage station to dinner.

they serve soda (pop ) at dinner in the MDRs for free.

Free if it's one of the "sodas" on the soda station. My son ordered a Root Beer for dinner the first night, it came in a can with a glass of ice. we were not told by our server that there was a charge for it and didn't realize I had to pay for it until I had to sign the bill at the end of dinner.

  7. New to DCL and have a dining question.

I will be on the Wonder with my wife and 5 years old daughter. Will we have our own table or we sit with other parties?

On all our cruises we had 4 or more traveling with us so we all ate at the same table. However, on our last cruise, it was just the three of us, and I guess it never really dawned on me that we would be seated with another family. When we arrived at our table, it was set up for 6 people. My wife and I were skeptical, but it was going to be what it was going to be. It turned out awesome. Not sure if it was coincidence or not but the other family had a boy the same age as ours and after talking at dinner the first night we came to realize that the other dad worked with my brother in law, again coincidence? The boys hung out all week at Oceaneers Club/pool/Castaway Cay. Going into the cruise itself, we weren't worried about our son finding friends, he has that personality, but this was awesome that they sat us with someone his age and had the same interests. Again don't know how it happened but it worked for us. The boys are now pen pals (yes, they actually write letters and mail them to each other) My opinion, be open, if it doesn't work out you can request to be moved. Have a Magical Cruise!

  8. I have a 7 year old boy and did the Wonder, December of 2016 and the Magic, February of 2018 and he had no problems finding things to do at the clubs. Actually, we couldn't get him to leave. (Wife and I got to do a lot more adult stuff)

What I was most disappointed with is all the stupid "open houses" during the last two days of the cruise. What's the point of those? If you haven't checked it out over the first couple of days of the cruise, are you really going to check it out the day or two before you leave and not utilized it?

  9. Just got off the Magic on Friday and the Promenade Lounge & O'Gills has "late night" munchies from 10:30-11:45 (except for Pirate night, had to go to Cabanas) In O'Gills and Promenade they had chicken wings, hot dogs, veggie plate, cheese, crackers. tea sandwiches, polish sausages, chips, salsa, etc...every night something different.

  10. We just got off the Magic on Friday and Pete's Boiler was closed and being worked on..lot of noise when we returned from Castaway Cay at 3:00P to swim in pool. Carioca was closed and had dinner one night at the Cabanas for our dinner rotation, it was buffet style, but the beef tenderloin was the best steak I had all cruise. Also talked to our service staff and they said dry dock for two weeks and they were staying on the boat to help refurbish dining rooms, whatever that's worth.

  11. We were on the Wonder last year when Rogue One premiered, we needed to be off the ship by 9:00AM 12/16 the day the movie was released, however they showed it at 12/16 at 12:01AM. They kept it a secret until 12/15 around the dinner time announcements. They showed the 2D in the regular theater and 3D in the WDT. needless to say didn't get much sleep that night

  12. went on a Sunday to Sunday cruise over Thanksgiving, they showed the NBC Sunday night game, night 1, the ESPN, Monday night game, night 2 and the Thanksgiving night game all on Funnelvision, the other two Thanksgiving day games could be seen in your room or the sports bar, they also showed the Friday and Saturday college games in the sports bar
